Venue Overview

X-Golf Fort Collins is an indoor golf simulator venue and bar at 351 E Foothills Pkwy Suite 110, Fort Collins 80525. The phone is (970) 614-5750. It serves Larimer County golfers looking to keep playing through the northern Colorado winter, and it runs seven simulator bays alongside a full bar, an in-house kitchen and a facility that can be bought out in whole or in part for a group. The room is built on the X-Golf proprietary simulator system rather than Trackman or Foresight. That matters for what you can and cannot compare it to, and it is covered in its own section below.

About the Bays

Seven simulators, each rated for up to six people. That is the number to plan a group around: a party of eighteen is three bays, not one big room. Bays are booked by the hour through the venue's own scheduler, in blocks running from thirty minutes up to six hours. Rental clubs are available, so a guest who does not own clubs is not stuck. Golf shoes with soft spikes are permitted and tennis shoes are fine. The system handles ball retrieval and teeing automatically, so nobody in the group is bending down to re-tee between shots. You do not need to bring balls or tees.

The X-Golf Simulator System

X-Golf builds its own simulator platform, and this is the thing that distinguishes it from the Trackman-based rooms elsewhere in Colorado. The system combines high-speed camera tracking, infrared lasers and physical impact sensors rather than relying on a single measurement method, running more than 6,000 calculations at the moment of impact. The operator markets it at 98 percent shot-prediction accuracy. The course library runs 40 or more courses, including Pebble Beach, Bay Hill, Bethpage Black, Harbour Town, Merion and Kawana. That is enough depth for a ten-week league to play a different track every week. An X-Golf mobile app handles tournament signups and stat tracking across the brand's locations.

Leagues & Instruction

X-League at Fort Collins runs a ten-week season of handicapped three-on-three, nine-hole stroke play. Warm-up is 6:30 PM and tee off is 7:00 PM. Players are required to establish a handicap before league play begins, and a substitute list runs alongside the rosters once a season is underway. The venue has historically run four league nights a week, and it will build a custom or corporate league on request. Instruction is led by Josh Gunderson, Director of Golf, listed as a PGA Associate working toward full PGA membership as of the venue's 2025 lessons page. He came to northern Colorado in 2015 after three years at Oxbow Country Club in Fargo, and was Head Boys Golf Coach at Severance High School from 2019 to 2021, taking three individuals and one team to the Colorado state championships. Lessons run as a one-hour game analysis for new clients, then half-hour or one-hour sessions and multi-hour packages. Instruction uses video analysis with slow motion, step motion and side-by-side comparison, plus the MySwing 3D system. Club fittings are offered. Junior Kids Camps run for age ten and under in six, eight and ten session formats.

Events

The venue books groups from 10 to 160 people and will sell anything from a single simulator up to a full facility buyout. A dedicated event manager works the booking, and packages are built to order rather than sold off a fixed menu. Simulator formats include long drive, closest to the pin, scramble, alternate shot, best ball and match play, and the room adds shuffleboard, foosball and Touch Tunes for the stretches when not everyone is hitting. Audio-visual support covers a microphone, a DJ setup and graphics on the TVs. Catering runs through the in-house kitchen or partners including Smokin Fins, Bad Daddy's, Torchy's Tacos and Nothing Bundt Cakes. On the competitive side the venue feeds the X-Tour and X-Cup national championship series across the brand's 100-plus locations, and runs its own local Fort Collins tournament series with net and gross flights and season-long points standings.

At six people per bay across seven bays, the room tops out around 42 people hitting at once, and the 160-person capacity assumes a rotation rather than everyone playing simultaneously. Come to the call with a headcount and a rough idea of how long you want each group in a bay. Hours are the second thing to check. The venue opens at 9:00 AM Monday through Thursday and closes at 10:00 PM, opens at 9:00 AM Friday with a midnight close, and opens at 8:00 AM on weekends with a midnight close Saturday and a 10:00 PM close Sunday. A weeknight event is competing with league play, which occupies bays from 6:30 PM onward on league nights, so a weeknight buyout needs to be scheduled around the league calendar.
