Venue Overview

SouthRidge Golf Course is a public, 18-hole golf course operated by the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, set on 128 acres in the southeast part of the city. Designed by golf architect Frank Hummel, SouthRidge rolls across gentle hills with tee boxes at diverse elevations, delivering both a genuine challenge and breathtaking views of Horsetooth and the Front Range foothills to the west. With Fossil Creek and Mail Creek winding through the layout, a full practice facility, and the well-loved MacKenzie's Pub & Grill in the clubhouse, SouthRidge is a scenic, welcoming, and great-value home for players of all levels, and for tournaments, outings, and group play.

About the Course

SouthRidge is an 18-hole, par-71 regulation course designed by Frank Hummel and opened in 1984. Spread across 128 acres of gently rolling terrain in southeast Fort Collins, it plays to roughly 6,690 yards with multiple tee boxes, and its sculptured fairways, water, and elevation changes give it a mountain-course feel while remaining fair for every level. As a City of Fort Collins municipal course, it is open to the public. Course features: 18-hole, par-71 regulation course designed by Frank Hummel Roughly 6,690 yards, with a slope of 135 and multiple tee boxes Opened in 1984 as a City of Fort Collins municipal course Set on 128 acres of gently rolling hills in southeast Fort Collins Sculptured fairways with challenging sand and water hazards Fossil Creek and Mail Creek winding through the layout Tee boxes at diverse elevations with views of Horsetooth and the Front Range Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary

The Playing Experience

SouthRidge plays with more character than many city courses, thanks to its gentle rolling hills and tee boxes set at varied elevations that lend it the feel of a Colorado mountain-town layout. Sculptured fairways are guarded by sand and water, with Fossil Creek and Mail Creek meandering through to keep approaches honest, while the well-manicured greens reward a steady putting stroke. It is generally regarded as a touch more forgiving off the tee than its sister course, Collindale, which makes it a favorite for a wide range of players, yet it still offers plenty of challenge from the back tees. Best of all are the views: from many tees the Rocky Mountain foothills and Horsetooth spread out to the west, making for a genuinely scenic round.

Apply for Event Management

Event Management Application (2027)
CUP manages 10 sporting events per season, and that is the cap.
Applications for the 2027 season are reviewed starting October 1, 2026. Returning clients confirm their dates first, then remaining slots go to new clients. This is an application, not a booking, and it takes about 6 minutes.

Your organization

Who is hosting, and how we reach you.

Beneficiary

Only if the event raises money for a cause.

Your sporting event

The basics we need to judge fit.

Out-of-state note: our standard pricing covers events held in Colorado. Events outside Colorado are quoted individually with travel and on-site costs included.
Worth knowing before you submit: our fully-managed service starts at 100 people on site. Below that the economics do not work for either of us, so this is likely not a fit. You can still apply, and you can always list your sporting event on the CUP calendar instead.
This one gets a custom quote. Our standard service model covers single-day events with 100 to 160 people on site, including vendors. Larger fields and multi-day events still work, we just scope them and send a custom quote instead of a standard price.

What success looks like

So we can tell you straight whether we are the right team.

Budget and timing

Fully-managed service is a real line item. Straight answers save us both time.

A CUP engagement runs roughly 150 to 200 hours of planning, design, marketing and coordination, handled by one team from the first call to the final award. Applications need a real budget line for professional management, separate from venue, food and prizes.
Worth knowing before you submit: a fully-managed engagement sits above this range, so this is likely not a fit for 2027. You are welcome to apply anyway. If self-serve is the better move right now, you can list your sporting event and add promotion here: list your event.

Then we will be in touch.
