Wellshire Golf Course is an 18-hole municipal golf course in Denver, Colorado, and the only public course west of the Mississippi built to a Donald Ross design. Lessons & Instruction

Wellshire's teaching staff, as of 2026, includes:

• Angel Macias, PGA Associate, Assistant Golf Professional — based at Wellshire; a Denver native, educated at Denver East High School and Colorado Mountain College.

Private and group instruction is available with PGA professionals at the facility. Lessons are typically taught April through November. Denver Golf instructors may also teach across other Denver Golf facilities.

Tournaments & Events

Wellshire is part of the citywide Denver Golf events program, which runs public tournaments and league play across its eight courses throughout the season, including the Bonanza League at Wellshire.
