Venue Overview
Cherry Hills Country Club is a private, historic golf and country club in Cherry Hills Village, Colorado, founded in 1922 and designed by golf architect William S. Flynn. Few clubs in America can match its championship pedigree: 14 national championships including three U.S. Opens, two PGA Championships, and the 1960 U.S. Open where Arnold Palmer's legendary final-round 65 sealed his only Open title. For eligible members hosting a tournament, member-guest event, or club function, Cherry Hills offers one of the most storied settings in American golf.About the Club
Cherry Hills was founded by a group of Denver Country Club members who wanted a dedicated golf club. They hired William S. Flynn, one of the premier course architects of his era, to design the layout for $4,500. The course has stood as a classic of American golf design for over a century, playing to a championship distance of more than 7,000 yards.- Founded in 1922 on 272 acres south of Denver

A Course With History
Cherry Hills has hosted 14 national championships since 1938, when it became the first club west of Minneapolis to host a U.S. Open. Its championship roll call includes the 1938, 1960, and 1978 U.S. Opens, the 1941 and 1985 PGA Championships, the 1993 U.S. Senior Open, the 2005 U.S. Women's Open, the 1990, 2012, and 2023 U.S. Amateurs, the 1983 U.S. Mid-Amateur, the 1976 USGA Senior Amateur, and the 2014 BMW Championship on the PGA Tour. The club's defining moment came at the 1960 U.S. Open, when Arnold Palmer drove the 346-yard first green and birdied six of his first seven holes en route to a final-round 65, overcoming a seven-shot deficit to win his only U.S. Open title. Playing that same final round was 20-year-old amateur Jack Nicklaus, who finished runner-up. Cherry Hills is the only course in the United States besides Augusta National where both Palmer and Nicklaus won a major championship, and Nicklaus later completed his own Cherry Hills story by winning the 1993 U.S. Senior Open here. The club's amateur pedigree runs just as deep: Phil Mickelson announced himself to the golf world at the 1990 U.S. Amateur, and in 2023 Nick Dunlap became just the second player ever (after Tiger Woods) to win both the U.S. Junior Amateur and U.S. Amateur, doing so at Cherry Hills. Beyond golf, Cherry Hills hosted the 1963 Davis Cup, where Arthur Ashe made his U.S. Davis Cup debut and became the first African American to play in the competition.Practice Facilities & Amenities
