About the Course
The course traces its roots to 1955, when a committee of local golfers pitched the idea of a municipal golf course to Loveland’s City Council. The dream became reality thanks to a gift from John and Alyce Donahue, who donated 100 acres of land for the project. Denver-based architect Henry Hughes was selected to design the layout, and the first nine holes opened in 1960, with the back nine completed over the following decade to form the full 18-hole course golfers play today.
