Venue Overview

Tucked into the White River valley in the heart of Rio Blanco County, Meeker Golf Course is a quiet 9-hole layout that gives golfers a genuine small-town escape without sacrificing a well-kept track. Designed to work with the natural landscape rather than against it, the course draws locals and visiting hunters and anglers alike who want an easy, affordable round in one of Colorado’s more remote corners. It’s open to the public year-round during the golf season, seven days a week. Meeker itself is a historic ranching town along the White River, and the golf course has long served as one of the community’s main recreational gathering spots, alongside its well-known hunting and fishing traditions.

About the Course

Meeker’s 9-hole routing rewards accurate iron play over raw distance, with holes that wind through the valley scenery near the White River. The course can be played as a quick 9 or looped twice for an 18-hole round, giving golfers flexibility depending on how much time they have. Conditions are consistently well-maintained for a course of its size, and the surrounding ranch and mountain scenery makes it a scenic, low-key round for golfers passing through northwest Colorado. The layout suits golfers of all experience levels, from beginners looking for a relaxed introduction to the game to more seasoned players who appreciate a shorter round that still tests accuracy off the tee and around the greens.

Practice Facilities

Golfers can warm up with range balls available in small and large buckets before heading out, giving players a chance to loosen up before their round. The course is walkable and low-key, making it easy to sneak in a warm-up and a full round without a long time commitment. The practice area sits right next to the clubhouse, so golfers can hit a few balls, grab their cart, and be on the first tee within minutes.
