What the video covers
Sponsor outreach rarely fails because someone says no. It fails because the ask was unclear, rushed, or the follow up gave up too early.
Four steps
Use the same four steps with every sponsor. Start with alignment: why they fit your audience. Make a clear ask that is easy to answer, with the price included. Follow up consistently. And when they commit, confirm the details, timeline and deliverables.
Cadence
Here is a realistic cadence. Day zero, your ask. Day four or five, a short bump. Day twelve to fourteen, add something new, like a sponsor who just signed. Around day 21, switch channels and call. Day 35 to 40, a genuine deadline. Then a gracious keep warm note. Most yeses come between the third and fifth touch.
Start early
Because the cycle runs six to eight weeks or more, start three to four months out. A hole sponsor can close fast. A title sponsor needs a longer conversation.
