Venue Overview

Plum Creek Golf Club is a Pete Dye-designed Stadium Course in Castle Rock, Colorado, roughly 20 minutes south of Denver. Originally built as the PGA Tour’s second Tournament Players Club (TPC) development, Plum Creek hosted the Senior PGA Tour’s Denver Post Championship of Golf from 1984 to 1987 and remains one of the state’s most storied championship layouts, open to public play with membership options.

About the Course

Plum Creek opened in the spring of 1984 as a TPC stadium course, built with the same design goals as the original TPC Sawgrass — mounding and hillsides around the greens engineered for spectator sightlines during tournament play. The course carries Pete Dye’s signature style throughout, with railroad ties surrounding the greens, strategically placed bunkers and water hazards, and native rough that contrasts sharply with manicured bentgrass fairways.
  • 18-hole, par-72 Pete Dye Stadium Course, 7,044 yards from the tips
  • Four sets of tees for all skill levels
  • Dramatic elevation changes with mountain views
  • Full-service restaurant with patio dining and happy hour
  • Golf shop with professional club fitting
  • Public tee times and membership options

A Tournament Players Club With Major History

Plum Creek was the PGA Tour’s second TPC development and hosted the Senior PGA Tour’s Denver Post Championship of Golf for four years (1984-1987), drawing fields that included Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino, Chi Chi Rodriguez, Gary Player, Sam Snead, and other Hall of Fame golfers. Past champions include Miller Barber (1984), Lee Elder (1985), Gary Player (1986), and Bruce Crampton (1987). Two of the club’s past champions — Lee Elder (2021) and Gary Player (2012-present) — have gone on to serve as Honorary Starters at the Masters Tournament at Augusta National.

Apply for Event Management

Event Management Application (2027)
CUP manages 10 sporting events per season, and that is the cap.
Applications for the 2027 season are reviewed starting October 1, 2026. Returning clients confirm their dates first, then remaining slots go to new clients. This is an application, not a booking, and it takes about 6 minutes.

Your organization

Who is hosting, and how we reach you.

Beneficiary

Only if the event raises money for a cause.

Your sporting event

The basics we need to judge fit.

Out-of-state note: our standard pricing covers events held in Colorado. Events outside Colorado are quoted individually with travel and on-site costs included.
Worth knowing before you submit: our fully-managed service starts at 100 people on site. Below that the economics do not work for either of us, so this is likely not a fit. You can still apply, and you can always list your sporting event on the CUP calendar instead.
This one gets a custom quote. Our standard service model covers single-day events with 100 to 160 people on site, including vendors. Larger fields and multi-day events still work, we just scope them and send a custom quote instead of a standard price.

What success looks like

So we can tell you straight whether we are the right team.

Budget and timing

Fully-managed service is a real line item. Straight answers save us both time.

A CUP engagement runs roughly 150 to 200 hours of planning, design, marketing and coordination, handled by one team from the first call to the final award. Applications need a real budget line for professional management, separate from venue, food and prizes.
Worth knowing before you submit: a fully-managed engagement sits above this range, so this is likely not a fit for 2027. You are welcome to apply anyway. If self-serve is the better move right now, you can list your sporting event and add promotion here: list your event.

Then we will be in touch.
