Venue Overview

Pinehurst Country Club is a private, family-focused country club in southwest Denver, Colorado, built around two golf courses, a nationally recognized tennis program, and resort-style pool and dining amenities. Founded in 1960 on the former Pinehurst Farm estate, the club has hosted PGA-caliber golf — Arnold Palmer won the Pinehurst-hosted 1982 Denver Post Championship — and continues to run a limited number of member-sponsored corporate golf outings each season, making it a rare private club with a real (if narrow) path for outside groups.

About the Club

Pinehurst sits on 227 acres of rolling terrain that was once a gentleman's farm, with mature trees, lakes and ponds, and views of both downtown Denver and the Rockies. The club was founded in 1960 by developer Carl Norgren, who built a golf course and estate community around the land rather than selling it off, and it has been rated by the PGA as a superior test of golf since its earliest years.

A Course With History

Pinehurst Farm was owned by industrialist Carl Norgren, who resisted selling as development rose around him in the late 1940s. As Denver grew, he built a golf course and estate home community that became Pinehurst Country Club in 1960. The Press Maxwell-designed Maxwell Course was rated a superior test of golf by the PGA from the start, and Arnold Palmer won the Pinehurst-hosted 1982 Denver Post Championship on it. The club is currently in the midst of a master-planned renovation restoring Maxwell's original design intent on both the 18-hole and 9-hole courses.

Tournaments & Events

Pinehurst runs a full competitive calendar: signature summer golf tournaments, women's golf programming, and holiday rounds on the golf side; 58 adult tennis league teams with 29 state champions and a junior program ranked in Colorado's top 3; and year-round pickleball clinics, boot camps, and open play. On a limited number of Mondays each season, the club also opens the Maxwell Course for corporate golf outings — client, employee, and colleague events that fill quickly given the limited availability.

Pinehurst maintains a dedicated events program for weddings, receptions, corporate meetings, and milestone celebrations, with a catering team handling menus, room styling, and event details.
