Venue Overview

Foothills Golf Course is a 36-hole public golf facility in southwest Denver, Colorado, operated by Foothills Park & Recreation District. With an 18-hole Championship Course, a 9-hole Executive Course, a 9-hole Par 3 Course, and an indoor golf simulator, Foothills offers more variety in one location than almost any public facility in the Denver metro, making it a strong fit for tournaments, leagues, and mixed-skill group outings.

About the Course

Established in 1971, Foothills has grown into one of the most-played public golf complexes in the Denver metro area, consistently ranking among the top three courses in the region for annual rounds played. The facility underwent a clubhouse renovation and added a Golfzon indoor simulator, giving it year-round appeal beyond the traditional golf season.

Playing Experience

The Championship 18 is a parkland-style layout with mature trees, plentiful water hazards, and strategic bunkering across more than 6,900 yards from the back tees. The Executive 9, opened in 1992, is built across a steep hillside with sharp doglegs, elevation changes, and undulating greens, including mountain views from its sixth hole. The Par 3 Course, in play since the facility opened in 1971, has hosted more than a million rounds and offers holes ranging from 85 to 195 yards — a fast, approachable option for beginners and families. Together, the three courses give organizers a rare choice of formats at a single venue.
