The Playing Experience

Homestead's two nines play like two different courses. The Mountain Nine sits in the bowl of Mt. Carbon, a former World War II carbon mine, and is ringed by streams, lakes, and big views of Denver, with the tee box on the 13th hole delivering a 360-degree panorama from the foothills to downtown. The Prairie Nine rolls across the gentle hills of the former Fehringer cattle ranch, where elevated tee boxes open up the landscape and wildlife is a constant companion. The 200-foot elevation swings and long, tricky par-3s are what give a short course real teeth, while the championship design keeps rounds moving faster than a traditional 18.
