Venue Overview

Life Time Flatirons is an athletic club in Broomfield, roughly midway between Denver and Boulder. It opened to members on February 1, 2018, after Life Time invested ten million dollars converting the former Lakeshore Athletic Club, and it was the company’s fifth Colorado destination. Its distinguishing feature for pickleball players is unusual for the chain: alongside indoor courts for year-round play, Flatirons has rooftop outdoor courts, and it runs real tournament play on them. Organizers who want a bigger tournament calendar can also look at Life Time Parker-Aurora.

About the Courts

Flatirons has both indoor and outdoor pickleball courts. The indoor courts run effectively the full club day. The outdoor courts are on the roof; no seasonal window is published for them, so plan around weather. Life Time does not publish a court count or surface specification for this location, so none is listed here.

  • Indoor pickleball courts
  • Rooftop outdoor pickleball courts
  • Reservations through the Life Time Digital app
  • Limited spectator seating at the rooftop courts

Play and Programs

Programming follows Life Time’s national menu: Intro to Pickleball, open play for ages 12 and up with registration required, mixers, clinics, private lessons and leagues. Open play is scheduled in level-banded blocks. Junior pickleball starts from age four, and the club offers Play Learn Love programming.

Food, Drink & Amenities

  • Indoor lap and leisure pools, outdoor leisure and lap pools, outdoor water slides
  • LifeCafe and LifeCafe Poolside
  • LifeSpa; sauna, steam room and indoor whirlpool
  • Miora longevity clinic and LifeClinic Chiropractic
  • Kids Academy and Infant Room, kids camps, classes, sports, swim lessons and birthday parties
  • Free parking

Leagues & Tournaments

The Life Time Flatirons Fall Classic is the club’s flagship pickleball event. It has drawn 120 players across pool-play round robin, played outdoors on the rooftop courts with scores reported to DUPR, and it is open to members and non-members. One practical note from the club’s own tournament page: seating on the roof is limited, so players are told to bring a lawn chair. Upcoming events at this venue are listed below.

Lessons & Instruction

Clinics, private lessons and junior pickleball follow Life Time’s national program. No instructors are named publicly for this location as of 2026.

Membership

Regular court access is reservation-based through the Life Time Digital app, and open play requires registration rather than walk-on drop-in. The Fall Classic is open to non-members.

Planning Your Event Here

The indoor-plus-rooftop combination gives organizers a weather hedge most single-surface venues cannot offer, and the club has run 120-player brackets on the roof. Spectator capacity is the main constraint to plan around. Start with the club on guest and event policies, and contact the club for current pricing and availability.

Apply for Event Management

Event Management Application (2027)
CUP manages 10 sporting events per season, and that is the cap.
Applications for the 2027 season are open now. Returning clients confirm their dates first, then remaining slots go to new clients. This is an application, not a booking, and it takes about 6 minutes.

Your organization

Who is hosting, and how we reach you.

Beneficiary

Only if the event raises money for a cause.

Your sporting event

The basics we need to judge fit.

Out-of-state note: our standard pricing covers events held in Colorado. Events outside Colorado are quoted individually with travel and on-site costs included.
Worth knowing before you submit: our fully-managed service starts at 100 people on site. Below that the economics do not work for either of us, so this is likely not a fit. You can still apply, and you can always list your sporting event on the CUP calendar instead.
This one gets a custom quote. Our standard service model covers single-day events with 100 to 160 people on site, including vendors. Larger fields and multi-day events still work, we just scope them and send a custom quote instead of a standard price.

What success looks like

So we can tell you straight whether we are the right team.

Budget and timing

Fully-managed service is a real line item. Straight answers save us both time.

A CUP engagement runs roughly 150 to 200 hours of planning, design, marketing and coordination, handled by one team from the first call to the final award. Applications need a real budget line for professional management, separate from venue, food and prizes.
Worth knowing before you submit: a fully-managed engagement sits above this range, so this is likely not a fit for 2027. You are welcome to apply anyway. If self-serve is the better move right now, you can list your sporting event and add promotion here: list your event.
