Keystone Ranch is an 18-hole, par-72 course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and opened in 1980, set on land that was a lettuce and dairy farm in the early 1900s, with original homestead structures and barns still dotting the property. The front nine plays with a Scottish links theme before the back nine settles into a traditional mountain-valley design through sage meadows, with the 9th and 18th holes kissing the shores of a sparkling nine-acre lake. The River Course at Keystone

The River Course is an 18-hole, par-71 course designed by the celebrated team of Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry, opened in 2000. Built into the surrounding landscape, its front nine winds along the Snake River before the back nine climbs and disappears into the forest, with dramatic elevation changes that make it one of the most exhilarating rounds in the state. Keystone Ranch is the classic one, a Robert Trent Jones Jr. design that opens with links character and settles into a scenic mountain-valley rhythm, all wrapped in old-western ranch heritage and framed by panoramic sunsets, bugling elk, and howling coyotes. The River Course is the thriller, a Hurdzan-Fry layout of "wow" shots and bold elevation changes, none more memorable than the 16th, which drops nearly 200 feet toward the Continental Divide and Lake Dillon. At 9,280 feet the ball flies noticeably farther on both, and it would be hard to find two courses this good, and this varied, in one place.
