Venue Overview

Kennedy Golf Course is a public golf hub in Denver, Colorado, operated by Denver Golf, offering 27 holes of regulation golf across three nines — West, Babe Lind, and Creek — plus a 9-hole par-3 course, FootGolf, mini golf, and a lighted driving range. With something for every age and skill level in one location, Kennedy is one of the most versatile public golf facilities in the Denver metro.

About the Course

Kennedy's 27-hole regulation layout, designed by Dick Phelps and built in stages during the 1960s, is split across three distinct nines — West, Babe Lind, and Creek — giving golfers a different look and combination every round, alongside a standalone 9-hole par-3 course for quicker play.
  • 27-hole regulation golf course (West, Babe Lind, and Creek nines), built in the 1960s
  • Designed by Dick Phelps
  • 9-hole par-3 course, also used for FootGolf
  • Lighted driving range with 50 mat stations
  • Kennedy Putt Putt: three miniature golf courses
  • Men's and women's rental club sets available
  • Kennedy Tavern restaurant

Named for Denver's First Director of Golf

The Babe Lind nine takes its name from Harold "Babe" Lind, a three-time Colorado Junior champion starting in 1936 and standout University of Denver golfer who, in 1956, was appointed the city's first official director of golf. Lind personally supervised construction of Kennedy's back nine, which now bears his name, and went on to national recognition in 1985 when he pioneered a fast-play program at Wellshire and Kennedy — an early effort to speed up rounds on busy municipal courses that drew attention well beyond Denver.

Playing Experience

Kennedy's three interchangeable nines give golfers a variety of 18-hole combinations at a single facility, while the par-3 course offers a fast, approachable round for beginners, juniors, or golfers short on time. The par-3 course doubles as Denver's home for FootGolf, and the property also includes three traditional putt-putt courses with obstacle holes for families.

Kennedy Golf Course's teaching staff, as of 2026, is led by Robert Nelson, PGA, Head Golf Professional. Private and semi-private lessons for two to four people are available; contact the pro shop at 720-865-0720 for current rates and availability.

Tournaments & Events

Kennedy is part of the citywide Denver Golf events program and hosts the annual Kennedy Kick FootGolf Tournament on its par-3 course. The course also runs social leagues and is a regular host site for group outings given its combination of a full 27-hole regulation layout, par-3 course, and FootGolf. Private events can be arranged through Kennedy Tavern at 720-865-3414.

Apply for Event Management

Event Management Application (2027)
CUP manages 10 sporting events per season, and that is the cap.
Applications for the 2027 season are reviewed starting October 1, 2026. Returning clients confirm their dates first, then remaining slots go to new clients. This is an application, not a booking, and it takes about 6 minutes.

Your organization

Who is hosting, and how we reach you.

Beneficiary

Only if the event raises money for a cause.

Your sporting event

The basics we need to judge fit.

Out-of-state note: our standard pricing covers events held in Colorado. Events outside Colorado are quoted individually with travel and on-site costs included.
Worth knowing before you submit: our fully-managed service starts at 100 people on site. Below that the economics do not work for either of us, so this is likely not a fit. You can still apply, and you can always list your sporting event on the CUP calendar instead.
This one gets a custom quote. Our standard service model covers single-day events with 100 to 160 people on site, including vendors. Larger fields and multi-day events still work, we just scope them and send a custom quote instead of a standard price.

What success looks like

So we can tell you straight whether we are the right team.

Budget and timing

Fully-managed service is a real line item. Straight answers save us both time.

A CUP engagement runs roughly 150 to 200 hours of planning, design, marketing and coordination, handled by one team from the first call to the final award. Applications need a real budget line for professional management, separate from venue, food and prizes.
Worth knowing before you submit: a fully-managed engagement sits above this range, so this is likely not a fit for 2027. You are welcome to apply anyway. If self-serve is the better move right now, you can list your sporting event and add promotion here: list your event.
