About the Club

Cherry Creek Country Club’s clubhouse and Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course opened in 2002, anchoring a gated residential community in southeast Denver. The club offers 24-hour gated security at its main entrance, and residency in the surrounding community is not required for membership.

A Jack Nicklaus Signature Design

The course plays over 7,400 yards from the Black tees, with five sets of tees and three sets of combination tees ranging from 4,981 to 7,450 yards, making it playable for beginners and elite players alike on the same layout. It’s a parkland design built around movement, water, and landscaping, with several “speed slot” holes that reward accurate driving and turn an ordinary tee shot into an extraordinary one. Water hazards come into play throughout the round, adding a premium on shot-making and course management. The club has earned recognition for its conditions and member experience over the years, including a “Best Course Conditions” honor in 2008 and a “Best Overall Experience” honor in 2012.

One-on-one instruction covers full swing, short game, sand play, putting, and on-course instruction. Tennis and pickleball lessons, private and group, are also available for all ages. Golf lessons can be scheduled by calling the Golf Shop at 303-597-0370.

Tournaments & Events

Cherry Creek Country Club runs an active member competition calendar on the golf course alongside a broader social and events calendar for the membership. The club’s Events Department, led by Director of Hospitality Sean Lynch, handles everything from menu planning to room styling for member-hosted gatherings, and its dining and event spaces — including the library, ladies lounge, dining room, covered patio, and side courtyard — support everything from formal seated dinners to casual buffet-style events.

Weddings & Private Events

Cherry Creek’s Events Team plans birthday parties, business meetings, baby showers, rehearsal dinners, and wedding receptions for the membership, with a culinary team that customizes menus to match each event’s style and size. Social Life & Philanthropy

Beyond golf, Cherry Creek Country Club runs a full monthly calendar of member social activities year-round — weekly live entertainment on the patio in summer, a Halloween carnival for kids, Mahjong and bridge groups, painting classes, holiday marts, and business networking events. The club has become a first choice among its own members for hosting weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries. Since opening in 2002, Cherry Creek has also built an extensive philanthropic record, engaging its dining venue to host and sponsor local and national charities and co-sponsoring golf tournaments and banquets on their behalf. Golf-specific causes the club has supported include the Colorado Golf Foundation, the Colorado Golf Hall of Fame, The First Tee, the Folds of Honor Foundation, the Salute Military Golf Association, and the Solich Caddie and Leadership Academy, alongside dozens of other Denver-area nonprofits spanning healthcare, education, and youth services.
