Indian Tree Golf Club is a public, 18-hole championship golf course in Arvada, Colorado, operated by Apex Park and Recreation District. Designed by noted Colorado architect Richard M. Phelps, ASGCA, and opened in 1970, Indian Tree has been part of the local golf community for more than 50 years, pairing a traditional tree-lined layout with a standalone par-3 course and full practice facilities.

About the Course

Indian Tree offers a traditional, tree-lined design with subtle elevation changes that reward shot-making and course management. The course plays to 6,742 yards from the longest tees at a par of 70, with a course rating of 70.7 and slope of 119. Tree-lined Kentucky Bluegrass fairways, rolling Penncross Bentgrass greens, and a picturesque clubhouse give the course a private-club feel at a municipal golf price, located about 20 minutes from downtown Denver.

More Than 50 Years of Tradition

Indian Tree shares its design pedigree with West Woods Golf Club a few miles away, both laid out by members of the Phelps family of Colorado golf architects. According to local folklore, the course takes its name from a rare Hackberry tree carried west and planted at the crest of the surrounding foothills, with sweeping views of the Colorado Rockies. That sense of history and place still runs through Indian Tree today, which continues to deliver a high-quality public golf experience as part of Apex Park and Recreation District.
