Venue Overview
The Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills is a 27-hole-plus public golf facility in Westminster, Colorado, opened in 1963 as one of the first 18-hole championship courses in the northern Denver metro. Owned and operated by the Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District, the facility now spans the 18-hole Gold Course, the 9-hole Blue Course, and two additional par-3 courses, and has hosted the Colorado State Public Links Championship, multiple CGA and USGA events, and the 1990 U.S. Women's Public Links Amateur.About the Course
Hyland Hills opened in 1963 with an original design credited to Hughes and Hummel, and architect Frank Hummel returned to redesign the course in 1985. The facility hosted the first-ever Colorado State Public Links Championship in 1965, cementing its place among the state's most historically significant public courses. Today the Gold Course serves as Hyland Hills' championship 18, complemented by the 9-hole Blue Course (currently undergoing a multi-year renovation project) and two par-3 layouts — the South Par 3 and North Par 3 — giving the facility genuine depth for golfers of every age and skill level.- Opened in 1963 as one of the northern Denver metro's first 18-hole championship courses

The Greg Mastriona Legacy
The facility's current name honors Greg Mastriona, who was hired as assistant course superintendent in 1969 when Hyland Hills consisted of a single 18-hole course. Over a 40-year career, Mastriona rose to Executive Director of the Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District, expanding the facility to 27 holes of regulation golf plus two par-3 courses and a multi-tiered practice facility. He personally designed the South Par 3 and designated the North Par 3 as a dedicated course for junior golfers, and he was the driving force behind bringing the 1990 U.S. Women's Public Links Amateur to the Gold Course, as well as building the facility's clubhouse — his final project before retiring in 2012. Mastriona's junior golf programs have been so influential that graduates of those programs are estimated to account for roughly 25 percent of tee times booked at Hyland Hills today. He was inducted into the Colorado Golf Hall of Fame in 2014, and the facility was renamed in his honor.Practice Facilities & Amenities
