Venue Overview

Greeley Country Club is the premier private country club in Northern Colorado, established in 1920 and rich with more than a century of tradition. Set on 150 meticulously maintained acres in Greeley, about 45 minutes north of Denver, its 18-hole championship course was originally staked out by legendary architect Tom Bendelow and later expanded and refined by Press Maxwell. A classic, tree-lined parkland test framed by mature trees and Front Range vistas, Greeley Country Club pairs storied golf with fine and casual dining, recreational and athletic facilities, and a genuine family atmosphere, all in one of the region's most distinguished private settings.

About the Course

Greeley Country Club's championship golf course is an 18-hole, par-70 layout with roots dating to 1920, when Tom Bendelow staked out the original nine holes. In the 1960s, architect Press Maxwell added a second nine and redesigned the existing holes, creating the 18-hole course played today. Set on 150 acres and framed by some 2,000 mature trees, it plays to about 6,534 yards and places a real premium on accuracy. As a private club, play is reserved for members and their guests. Course features: 18-hole, par-70 championship course About 6,534 yards from the back tees Original nine designed by Tom Bendelow in 1920; second nine and redesign by Press Maxwell in 1962 Roughly 2,000 mature trees framing tight, sloping fairways Small greens and numerous strategic sand bunkers Water hazards in play on several holes Meticulously maintained across 150 acres Front Range mountain vistas from the course

A Course With History

Greeley Country Club's history is woven into the story of American golf itself. When the club opened its doors in 1920, the original nine-hole course was staked out by Tom Bendelow, the man nicknamed "the Johnny Appleseed of American Golf" for the more than 600 courses he laid out across the country, among them Medinah Country Club and East Lake. As the game boomed in the 1960s, the club brought in noted architect Press Maxwell to renovate the course and add a second nine, forming the 18 holes seen today. The clubhouse was rebuilt in 1962 and has since been thoughtfully remodeled with the club's century of history in mind, blending modern amenities with timeless country-club charm.

The Playing Experience

Greeley Country Club is a classic, traditional test of golf where precision beats power. Roughly 2,000 mature trees line the tight, sloping fairways, so keeping the ball in position off the tee is everything, and the small greens, numerous bunkers, and water on several holes reward accurate, thoughtful approach play. It is the kind of shot-maker's course that gives up good scores only to those who plot their way around it, all while staying a genuine pleasure to play thanks to meticulous conditioning and pristine greens. With Front Range vistas framing the property, it is a distinguished round that has stood the test of time.

Apply for Event Management

Event Management Application (2027)
CUP manages 10 sporting events per season, and that is the cap.
Applications for the 2027 season are reviewed starting October 1, 2026. Returning clients confirm their dates first, then remaining slots go to new clients. This is an application, not a booking, and it takes about 6 minutes.

Your organization

Who is hosting, and how we reach you.

Beneficiary

Only if the event raises money for a cause.

Your sporting event

The basics we need to judge fit.

Out-of-state note: our standard pricing covers events held in Colorado. Events outside Colorado are quoted individually with travel and on-site costs included.
Worth knowing before you submit: our fully-managed service starts at 100 people on site. Below that the economics do not work for either of us, so this is likely not a fit. You can still apply, and you can always list your sporting event on the CUP calendar instead.
This one gets a custom quote. Our standard service model covers single-day events with 100 to 160 people on site, including vendors. Larger fields and multi-day events still work, we just scope them and send a custom quote instead of a standard price.

What success looks like

So we can tell you straight whether we are the right team.

Budget and timing

Fully-managed service is a real line item. Straight answers save us both time.

A CUP engagement runs roughly 150 to 200 hours of planning, design, marketing and coordination, handled by one team from the first call to the final award. Applications need a real budget line for professional management, separate from venue, food and prizes.
Worth knowing before you submit: a fully-managed engagement sits above this range, so this is likely not a fit for 2027. You are welcome to apply anyway. If self-serve is the better move right now, you can list your sporting event and add promotion here: list your event.
