Venue Overview

Eaton Country Club has been a fixture of the northern Front Range golf community since 1923, when a group of Eaton residents pooled together to buy a 68-acre dryland farm and build a nine-hole sand-green course. More than a century later, the private club has grown into a full 18-hole championship layout, complete with a clubhouse restaurant, an active tournament calendar, and a golf program led by longtime PGA Head Professional Tom Hensel.

About the Course

• 18-hole private championship course playing 6,440 yards to a par of 71
• Opened its second nine and reached its current 18-hole championship configuration in 1978
• Signature closing hole is the uphill, water-and-bunker-guarded par-4 18th
• Hole 2's green stretches more than 40 yards, one of the longest putting surfaces on the course
• Elevated 10th tee offers sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains
• Founded in 1923 and merged with the Eaton Gun Club in 1947 to form today's Eaton Country Club
• Hole 3 is widely considered the toughest test on the front nine, with out of bounds right and trees and water crowding the left side of the fairway
• Hole 13 anchors the back nine's toughest stretch, a long, tree- and bunker-guarded par 3 with a green that slopes away from the tee shot

Practice Facilities

Members can warm up at the club's driving range and putting green before a round, and the golf shop's PGA staff offers custom club fitting, in-house regripping, and access to a local club repair specialist for shaft extensions, loft and lie adjustments, and re-shafting.

Dining and Amenities

McCarty's at Eaton Country Club serves members from the casual lounge, the formal dining room, or the patio, all of which look out over the golf course toward the mountains and are known for showing off some of the club's best sunsets. The golf shop stocks apparel, shoes, and headwear from major fashion lines alongside seasonal limited-run pieces, plus full equipment lines from Callaway, Cleveland, TaylorMade, and other major manufacturers. Beyond golf, the club supports a scholarship program for members of the Eaton community, reflecting the same tradition of local investment that has defined the club since its founding by a handful of Eaton residents in 1923.

Tournaments & Events

Eaton Country Club runs one of the busiest member event calendars in Northern Colorado, spanning Men's and Ladies' Match Play leagues, a Thursday Night Men's League that runs April through August, the Rex Eaton Mem-Mem/Club Championship, a Senior Club Championship, a Couples Championship, and the season-closing Fall Classic scramble. Several events, including the Men's Arnold Dalton, the 4-Person Scramble, the Men's 2-Man Best Ball, and the Ladies 2-Person and Sunbonnet tournaments, are open to the public alongside club members.
