Venue Overview
Goose Gossage Park is Colorado Springs' central youth ball-field complex, paired with a free concrete skatepark and direct access to the Pikes Peak Greenway trail system. In City documents it appears under its formal name, the Rick "Goose" Gossage Youth Sports Complex. It is a free public park run by Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services.
The park is named for Colorado Springs native Rich "Goose" Gossage, the Major League relief pitcher elected to the Hall of Fame in the class of 2008. The City does not publish a dedication date.
Which Address to Use
This needs saying plainly, because four different addresses circulate for this park. We use 3225 Mark Dabling Blvd, Colorado Springs 80907, because it is the only address published by the City itself, in its ADA Title II self-evaluation. You will also see 3950 Mark Dabling, 3320 Mark Dabling and 4055 Northpark Dr on third-party and aggregator listings. Those are not City figures. If you are directing participants to a specific gate or lot, confirm before you print anything.
Acreage is similar. The City does not publish an acreage figure. A 40-acre number circulates on third-party sites only, so we will not state it as fact.
About the Grounds
What the City publishes is a solid picture: numbered youth soccer fields running along Mark Dabling Blvd, multiple restroom buildings including Men's and Women's South, Men's and Women's North and a unisex restroom, picnic tables, a skate park, and accessible exterior routes at the north and south ends.
What the City does not publish is counts. Neither the ball-field count nor the soccer-field count is published, so we leave both blank rather than guessing.
Several features are documented only by third parties, and we label them that way: a playground, a BMX track, lighted fields, concessions, scoreboards, a pump track, a roughly 3,500 square foot unlit concrete skatepark with bowls, ramps and rails, dirt jumps, and trail links to the Pikes Peak Greenway, Sinton and Templeton Gap trails.

Seasonal restrooms close from October through May for winterization, so a late-fall or winter event needs portable toilets in the plan.
Parking & Access
There is no parking fee. The City enumerates six lot areas at the park but publishes a count for only one of them: South Parking Lot 1 has 93 stalls, 3 of which are accessible, and the City itself notes that 4 accessible stalls are required there. Counts for the other five lot areas are not published.
Hours run 5am to 9pm from November 1 through April 30, and 5am to 10pm from May 1 through October 31. One City special-events PDF gives an 11pm summer closing instead, so the two City sources conflict. If your event runs late, confirm the closing time in writing.
Events & Programs
The park carries city youth baseball, softball, T-ball and soccer leagues in 8 to 10 week seasons, plus city sports camps. Bodies Race Company brings Turkey Trails Colorado Springs here on Sunday, November 8, 2026.
Planning Your Sporting Event Here
Plan around three known gaps. Field counts are not published, so confirm exactly how many diamonds or pitches you are getting. Restrooms are closed October through May. And the address ambiguity is real enough that participant directions deserve a second look.
On the plus side, the trail connections mean a running event does not have to stay inside the park boundary, and the free public skatepark is a low-friction add-on for a family-facing event day.
Hosting a Sporting Event at Goose Gossage Park?
Reservations go through the City Sports Office at 1315 E Pikes Peak Ave, Colorado Springs 80909, Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. To be clear about who that is: the Sports Office is a reservations desk. Those contacts are not coaches, not venue staff and not event coordinators for this park, and the City does not publish named staff for Goose Gossage Park. Approach the office as the booking channel it is.
