Venue Overview

Arrowhead Golf Club is a public, 18-hole championship golf course in Littleton, Colorado, set against towering red sandstone rock formations in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and Robert Trent Jones, Jr., Arrowhead plays to a par of 70 across 6,636 yards, winding between ancient rock outcroppings roughly 300 million years in the making. Widely regarded as one of the most scenic courses in the country, Arrowhead is one of the top 10 most-photographed golf courses in the world, has been voted the #1 public golf course in the Denver area, and has earned a spot on Golf Digest’s “Top 75 Public Courses” list.

About the Course

The father-and-son design team of Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and Robert Trent Jones, Jr. routed Arrowhead to blend seamlessly into its dramatic natural setting, framing gently rolling fairways and manicured greens with massive red sandstone formations, numerous elevation changes, unique bunkering, and striking water features. Golfers share the course with an abundance of wildlife, including deer, elk, and foxes, adding to the sense of playing through a genuine wilderness setting rather than a manufactured golf property. Multiple tees on every hole make the course accessible to golfers of all ages and abilities, even as it remains a legitimate test for scratch players.

A Course 300 Million Years in the Making

Arrowhead’s defining feature is its setting: the course is carved directly into and around towering red sandstone formations that predate the golf course by roughly 300 million years, creating a backdrop unlike almost any other course in the country. That geologic drama, combined with the Jones family’s strategic routing and the property’s abundant wildlife, has made Arrowhead a bucket-list stop for golfers well beyond Colorado, a course built for both a serious round and a memorable photograph.
