Venue Overview

Riverdale Golf Courses is an outstanding two-course public golf facility in Brighton, Colorado, operated by Adams County just northeast of Denver along the South Platte River. Its headliner is Riverdale Dunes, a Pete and Perry Dye links masterpiece consistently rated the number one public course in Colorado and ranked among Golf Digest's top 75 public courses in the country. Alongside it, the park-style Riverdale Knolls offers a friendlier, canal-laced layout that has been a Denver-area favorite for decades. With 36 holes of golf, a full-service clubhouse and restaurant, experienced PGA professionals, and standout value, Riverdale is one of the metro area's premier public settings for a round, a tournament, or a group outing.

The Dunes Course

Riverdale Dunes is an 18-hole, par-72 Scottish-style links course designed by the father-and-son team of Pete and Perry Dye and opened in 1985. Meandering along the South Platte River across relatively flat, walkable terrain, it is packed with classic Dye features, pot bunkers, mounds, water, tall native grasses, and the architect's trademark railroad ties, and it stays in excellent condition year-round. The Dunes at a glance: 18-hole, par-72 links course designed by Pete and Perry Dye, opened in 1985 7,067 yards from the back tees, with a course rating of 73.2 and a slope of 133 Consistently rated the number one public course in Colorado Ranked among Golf Digest's top 75 public courses in the United States Pot bunkers, mounds, water, native-grass rough, and trademark Dye railroad ties Host to the Nike Tour Colorado Classic, the USGA Public Links Championship, and numerous Colorado State Championships Recognized by Golf Magazine as one of America's most affordable courses

The Knolls Course

Riverdale Knolls is an 18-hole, par-71 park-style course designed by Henry B. Hughes and opened in 1962, making it a long-standing fixture of Denver-area golf. Criss-crossed by numerous canals and framed by mature trees, it is a more traditional and forgiving companion to the Dunes, known for elevated greens and some of the best putting surfaces around. The Knolls at a glance: 18-hole, par-71 park-style course designed by Henry B. Hughes, opened in 1962 6,756 yards from the back tees, with a course rating of 70.2 and a slope of 118 Numerous canals winding throughout the layout Mature trees, elevated greens, and excellent bent grass putting surfaces A friendlier, traditional test and a tremendous dollar value

The Playing Experience

Together, the Dunes and the Knolls give golfers 36 holes of genuine variety. The Dunes is the bold one, a true Pete Dye links where mounds, pot bunkers, railroad ties, water, and waving native grasses reward accurate, thoughtful golf, all on walkable prairie terrain along the river. The Knolls is its more relaxed counterpart, a classic park-style layout where canals and trees frame the holes and elevated greens keep approaches interesting, forgiving enough for a casual round yet still a satisfying test. Both are consistently well-conditioned and, true to Riverdale's reputation, offer some of the best value in Colorado golf. Play both in a day and you will understand why locals keep coming back.

Apply for Event Management

Event Management Application (2027)
CUP manages 10 sporting events per season, and that is the cap.
Applications for the 2027 season are reviewed starting October 1, 2026. Returning clients confirm their dates first, then remaining slots go to new clients. This is an application, not a booking, and it takes about 6 minutes.

Your organization

Who is hosting, and how we reach you.

Beneficiary

Only if the event raises money for a cause.

Your sporting event

The basics we need to judge fit.

Out-of-state note: our standard pricing covers events held in Colorado. Events outside Colorado are quoted individually with travel and on-site costs included.
Worth knowing before you submit: our fully-managed service starts at 100 people on site. Below that the economics do not work for either of us, so this is likely not a fit. You can still apply, and you can always list your sporting event on the CUP calendar instead.
This one gets a custom quote. Our standard service model covers single-day events with 100 to 160 people on site, including vendors. Larger fields and multi-day events still work, we just scope them and send a custom quote instead of a standard price.

What success looks like

So we can tell you straight whether we are the right team.

Budget and timing

Fully-managed service is a real line item. Straight answers save us both time.

A CUP engagement runs roughly 150 to 200 hours of planning, design, marketing and coordination, handled by one team from the first call to the final award. Applications need a real budget line for professional management, separate from venue, food and prizes.
Worth knowing before you submit: a fully-managed engagement sits above this range, so this is likely not a fit for 2027. You are welcome to apply anyway. If self-serve is the better move right now, you can list your sporting event and add promotion here: list your event.
