Thorncreek is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course designed by Finger Dye Spann, Inc., opened in 1992 and renovated in 2018. A links-style layout with a unique twist, a street separates the front nine from the back, it stretches to roughly 7,268 yards from the championship tees, with lakes and native areas bringing water and trouble into play. It is a municipal course, open to the public and playable year-round. The Playing Experience

Thorncreek is a fun and genuinely challenging muni that rewards thoughtful golf. There is good variety from hole to hole, and plenty of decisions to make off the tee, driver is tempting on many holes, but native areas, creeks, and ponds lurk, so position often matters more than power. The par 5s are a highlight: the 621-yard 7th is the course's number one handicap and a true three-shot test, while others are reachable with a good drive, and the downhill 5th offers a beautiful look at a green full of slopes and ridges where three-putts are common. The quirky routing, with a street dividing the nines, adds to the character, and thanks to a recent renovation of both the course and clubhouse, it is in good shape and ready for a round any time of year.
