Venue Overview

Indian Peaks Golf Course is a championship public golf destination in Lafayette, Colorado, offering a scenic, thoughtfully designed experience with panoramic Front Range views. Designed by three-time U.S. Open champion Hale Irwin, the course balances strategic shot-making with genuine approachability, making it a popular choice for everyday golfers and organized events alike. Known for its strong conditions, deep instruction program, and welcoming atmosphere, Indian Peaks is an ideal setting for charity tournaments, corporate outings, and community golf along the Front Range.

About the Course

Indian Peaks features an 18-hole, par-72 layout that works rolling terrain, water features, and strategically placed bunkers into a course built around variety and balance. Hale Irwin's design rewards smart decision-making while staying enjoyable for players of all skill levels, and its efficient routing supports a smooth pace of play — which also makes it a dependable, well-organized venue for group events and tournaments.

Course features:

  • 18-hole, par-72 championship layout
  • Designed by three-time U.S. Open champion Hale Irwin
  • Rolling terrain with subtle elevation changes
  • Water hazards influencing approach shots and positioning
  • Wide fairways paired with strategic bunkering
  • Scenic Front Range views throughout
  • Cart-friendly layout (carts allowed 7 days a week)
  • Public access

Course Design & Playing Experience

The playing experience at Indian Peaks is defined by Hale Irwin's strategic design and the natural Colorado scenery surrounding it. Golfers encounter a genuine mix of risk-reward decisions and memorable holes across the round — wide fairways that invite aggressive play, with bunkering and water that reward thoughtful positioning. Subtle elevation changes keep things varied from hole to hole, and the Front Range backdrop makes for a scenic walk from the first tee to the last. The result is a balanced course that supports both competitive scoring and recreational enjoyment.

Practice Facilities & Amenities

Indian Peaks offers a full range of amenities to support both daily play and organized events:

  • Driving range and short-game practice areas
  • Practice putting greens
  • Fully stocked pro shop
  • The Peaks Bar & Grill for dining and gatherings
  • Professional golf staff and event support
  • Cart-friendly course with efficient routing

These help provide a seamless, enjoyable experience from the first tee to the final putt.

Golf Lessons & Instruction

Indian Peaks is home to the Indian Peaks Golf Academy, one of the deepest instruction programs in the region. The academy offers coaching for every age and ability — from first-timers to tournament players — through private lessons, structured clinics, and a junior development program. Adult clinics run from Level 1 (beginner) through Level 3 (tournament player), with dedicated short-game clinics for sharpening your scoring, while the junior program can start young athletes as early as age six and carry them through to recreational or competitive play.

What sets the academy apart is the caliber of its teaching staff. As of 2026, the coaches include:

  • Andrew Hebert, PGA — a PGA Class A professional with over a decade of teaching experience and 30-plus years in the game. A CU Boulder psychology graduate, he applies how people learn to help students improve faster, blending strong fundamentals with the mind-body side of golf.
  • Karen Davies, LPGA — a nationally recognized Top 50 LPGA instructor and former LPGA and European Tour player, with nine collegiate victories and a University of Florida Hall of Fame career (teaching seasonally, June–August).
  • Rick Uhlir — a teaching professional at Indian Peaks since 2003 who has competed in two U.S. Senior Opens and on the Senior European Tour, coached Boulder High School's golf teams to among the best in the state, and uses V1 video analysis to refine each student's swing.
  • Ryan Black, PGA Associate — teaching since 2004 and at Indian Peaks since 2008, with a Golf Academy of America degree in Golf Complex Management focused on instruction, and a simple, relaxed teaching style built on fundamentals.
  • Mac Emison, PGA Associate & PGA HOPE Certified Instructor — a data-driven teacher who works within each golfer's unique biomechanics and mental game, tailoring lessons across all ages and skill levels.
  • Jason Faulkner — with Indian Peaks since 2016, a Colorado native whose teaching centers on fundamentals, personalized feedback, and building each golfer's confidence and love for the game.

Lessons and clinics are available for all ages and ability levels. To book, contact the golf shop at (303) 666-4706 or visit the instruction page on the Indian Peaks website.

Clubhouse, Events & Tournaments

The clubhouse and The Peaks Bar & Grill give Indian Peaks a comfortable, functional space for tournament operations and post-round gatherings, supporting both casual and structured event formats. Combined with the quality of the Hale Irwin course itself, it makes Indian Peaks a strong, well-equipped venue for well-organized events — and the course offers dedicated tournament, corporate league, and special-event programs for organizers.

Common event uses:

  • Player registration and check-in
  • Sponsor displays and activation areas
  • Post-round meals and award ceremonies
  • Networking, raffles, and announcements

Event types hosted:

  • Charity golf tournaments
  • Corporate outings, client events, and corporate leagues
  • Community fundraisers
  • League play and group outings

Planning Your Event Here

Because Indian Peaks is a popular Front Range course, early scheduling is recommended for larger events and preferred dates. Organizers should coordinate timing, sponsor placement, and player flow in advance to get the most out of the day. Contact the course at (303) 666-4706 to inquire about availability and group rates.

Apply for Event Management

Event Management Application (2027)
CUP manages 10 sporting events per season, and that is the cap.
Applications for the 2027 season are reviewed starting October 1, 2026. Returning clients confirm their dates first, then remaining slots go to new clients. This is an application, not a booking, and it takes about 6 minutes.

Your organization

Who is hosting, and how we reach you.

Beneficiary

Only if the event raises money for a cause.

Your sporting event

The basics we need to judge fit.

Out-of-state note: our standard pricing covers events held in Colorado. Events outside Colorado are quoted individually with travel and on-site costs included.
Worth knowing before you submit: our fully-managed service starts at 100 people on site. Below that the economics do not work for either of us, so this is likely not a fit. You can still apply, and you can always list your sporting event on the CUP calendar instead.
This one gets a custom quote. Our standard service model covers single-day events with 100 to 160 people on site, including vendors. Larger fields and multi-day events still work, we just scope them and send a custom quote instead of a standard price.

What success looks like

So we can tell you straight whether we are the right team.

Budget and timing

Fully-managed service is a real line item. Straight answers save us both time.

A CUP engagement runs roughly 150 to 200 hours of planning, design, marketing and coordination, handled by one team from the first call to the final award. Applications need a real budget line for professional management, separate from venue, food and prizes.
Worth knowing before you submit: a fully-managed engagement sits above this range, so this is likely not a fit for 2027. You are welcome to apply anyway. If self-serve is the better move right now, you can list your sporting event and add promotion here: list your event.

Last bit

Then we will be in touch.
