Step by step

Running a squash event in Colorado? Here's how to plan it, pick a format and run it on Colorado Under Par, start to finish.

What it looks like

Colorado squash events are held at private clubs, athletic clubs and university courts, mostly fall through spring, with juniors and adults entered by level.

Formats

Singles
One player against one in a walled court, best of five games to 11 with point-a-rally scoring, winning by two.
Doubles
Two players per side on a wider doubles court, taking turns hitting.
Single Elimination
Players are seeded into a draw and a loss ends their main event run.
Round Robin
Players in a small group each play one another, and match wins decide placings, which suits small fields.
Consolation Draw
Players who lose their first match drop into a second draw, so everyone gets at least two or three matches.
Team Event
Club or school teams play a set of singles matches by player ranking.
League
Players or teams meet weekly over a season, with match results tracked in standings or a box ladder.
Front Wall Target Tape
Tape boxes high and low on the front wall, and players earn points for each drive or drop that lands inside. Runs fast on a spare court between matches.
Pledge Per Point Won
Supporters pledge a small amount for every point their player wins across the draw. Players share their pledge pages and the club posts the total.
Old Racquet Trophy
A vintage wooden racquet mounted on a plaque becomes the traveling trophy, with each winner's name added. Pose champions with it at the glass.

Build it

In the Organizer Dashboard, click Create event and pick squash and your format. Every tab, word and Start here guide then follows your sport.

Registration

Organizers ask for skill level or rating, age group, events entered, and partner name for doubles.

Results

Open Brackets and schedule. Pick the division, pool play or a bracket, your courts, the first game time and minutes per game. Each of your courts gets its own phone link for scores, and every score updates the bracket for everyone. Tick Post on the event page so players follow it live.

Event day

Players check in, warm up on court for a few minutes before each match, play with players refereeing the next match, then finals and awards close the event.

Fun ideas

Make it memorable. Three ideas people love. Front Wall Target Tape. Tape boxes high and low on the front wall, and players earn points for each drive or drop that lands inside. Runs fast on a spare court between matches. Pledge Per Point Won. Supporters pledge a small amount for every point their player wins across the draw. Players share their pledge pages and the club posts the total. Old Racquet Trophy. A vintage wooden racquet mounted on a plaque becomes the traveling trophy, with each winner's name added. Pose champions with it at the glass.

Tip

One tip for first-timers: ask each player to referee or mark a match after they play, which is normal in squash and keeps the event running without hired officials. Building is free, then 1% per paid order plus card processing, paid to your own Stripe account. Stuck? Ask Caddie or search Need help in your dashboard. Start at coloradounderpar.com/sell-tickets.
