Step by step

Running a racquetball event in Colorado? Here's how to plan it, pick a format and run it on Colorado Under Par, start to finish.

What it looks like

Racquetball events in Colorado are indoor club tournaments and leagues held year round at fitness centers and rec centers, with singles and doubles players.

Formats

Singles
One player against another in a four-wall court.
Doubles
Two-player teams share the court, alternating rallies.
Mixed Doubles
Teams are one man and one woman, playing the standard doubles format.
Round Robin
Players are grouped into pools and everyone plays everyone in their pool.
Single Elimination
Players are seeded into a bracket, and a single loss means they are out.
Double Elimination
Players drop to a second bracket after one loss and are out after two.
League
Players meet weekly for scheduled matches against others at similar levels, with standings over a season.
Kill Shot Target
Tape a small target low on the front wall, and every hit wins a prize. Players line up between matches for one more try.
Pledge Per Point
Supporters pledge a set amount for every point their player scores. Every rally matters, and friends watch through the glass to cheer.
Floor Burn Award
The player with the most dives earns a gag trophy for effort. It celebrates hustle and always gets a laugh at the awards.

Build it

In the Organizer Dashboard, click Create event and pick racquetball and your format. Every tab, word and Start here guide then follows your sport.

Registration

Organizers usually ask for skill level or division, age group, singles or doubles, partner name and a membership number if needed.

Results

Open Brackets and schedule. Pick the division, pool play or a bracket, your courts, the first game time and minutes per game. Each of your courts gets its own phone link for scores, and every score updates the bracket for everyone. Tick Post on the event page so players follow it live.

Event day

Players check in, get court and match times, warm up on court, play their matches with player or assigned referees, then finals and awards.

Fun ideas

Make it memorable. Three ideas people love. Kill Shot Target. Tape a small target low on the front wall, and every hit wins a prize. Players line up between matches for one more try. Pledge Per Point. Supporters pledge a set amount for every point their player scores. Every rally matters, and friends watch through the glass to cheer. Floor Burn Award. The player with the most dives earns a gag trophy for effort. It celebrates hustle and always gets a laugh at the awards.

Tip

One tip for first-timers: ask players to referee the next match after theirs to keep courts moving without paid officials. Building is free, then 1% per paid order plus card processing, paid to your own Stripe account. Stuck? Ask Caddie or search Need help in your dashboard. Start at coloradounderpar.com/sell-tickets.
