Step by step

Running a lacrosse event in Colorado? Here's how to plan it, pick a format and run it on Colorado Under Par, start to finish.

What it looks like

Colorado amateur lacrosse includes youth club and rec tournaments, high school summer play and adult leagues, mostly on turf fields in spring and summer and indoor rinks for box play.

Formats

7v7
A smaller-sided field game with seven players per team on a shorter field, giving more touches and faster play.
Full Field (10v10 / 12v12)
The standard game, with ten players per side for boys and men and twelve for girls and women.
Box Lacrosse (6v6)
Played in an enclosed indoor rink or box with six per side and a shot clock.
Sixes (6v6)
A fast outdoor small-field game with six per side, a shot clock and short timed periods.
3v3
Three players per side on a very small field with small goals and no goalies or with small nets.
Round Robin + Playoffs
Teams play each opponent in their pool, then the top teams by record move into playoff games to decide the champion.
Tournament Bracket
Teams are seeded into an elimination bracket and advance by winning games until one team takes the championship.
League
Teams play a weekly schedule over a season, with standings by wins and losses and often a playoff at the end.
Fastest Shot Radar
Players take shots at an open net while a radar gun clocks speed. Post the leaderboard and crown speed winners by age group.
Pledge Per Goal Drive
Supporters pledge a set amount for every goal scored across the tournament. The announcer calls out the total after each match.
Golden Stick Award
The tournament standout gets a gold painted stick trophy with their name added each year. Shoot the photo in front of the goal.

Build it

In the Organizer Dashboard, click Create event and pick lacrosse and your format. Every tab, word and Start here guide then follows your sport.

Registration

In Registration, ask what you need from each entrant, like jersey number. Set a roster minimum and a roster lock date, and split team fees into two to four payments in Invoices if that helps teams sign up.

Results

Open Brackets and schedule. Pick the division, pool play or a bracket, your fields, the first game time and minutes per game. Each of your fields gets its own phone link for scores, and every score updates the bracket for everyone. Tick Post on the event page so players follow it live.
