About the Course

Willis Case is one of eight courses in the City of Denver Golf portfolio, part of Denver Parks & Recreation. The course runs through mature stands of trees with sloping fairways and small greens defended by bunkers, rewarding accurate ball-striking over length.

Willis Case's teaching staff, as of 2026, includes:

• Sam Mir, PGA, Head Golf Professional — based at Willis Case; PGA Member with a BA from UC San Diego and 10 years in the golf industry.
• Shaun Johnson, PGA Associate, Assistant Golf Professional — based at Willis Case; BA in Business Administration with a Computer Science minor.

Both offer private and small-group lessons at the facility. Lessons are typically taught April through November. Denver Golf instructors may also teach across other Denver Golf facilities.

Tournaments & Events

Willis Case is part of the citywide Denver Golf events program, which runs public tournaments, clinics, and Night Golf events across its eight courses throughout the season, along with First Tee–Colorado Rocky Mountains junior programming. Groups and organizers can also book tee times directly for outings and scrambles at Willis Case.
