Venue Overview

The Hangar Club is an indoor golf and social venue in Denver, Colorado, set inside a restored 1942 World War II–era aircraft hangar on the former Lowry Air Force Base — a soaring, light-filled 22,000-square-foot space that once trained wartime bombardiers and now houses ten TrackMan simulators. That combination of authentic military-aviation architecture and top-tier simulation technology gives the venue a character no strip-mall simulator room can match, and its full bar, elevated kitchen, and dedicated event space make it one of the more distinctive places in the metro to host a corporate outing, fundraiser, or private party year-round.

About the Venue

The Hangar Club opened in 2023 after founders — including James Love, a former touring professional, and Daren Schmidt of Allante Properties — invested a reported $3.3 million renovating the historic hangar. The building's original character was preserved: eight massive steel beams, large factory windows, and ceilings raised high enough to clear aircraft tail-fins all remain, flooding the space with natural light. It sits adjacent to the Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum at Lowry, with surface and covered parking on site.

  • Ten industry-leading TrackMan golf simulators
  • Housed in a restored 1942 WWII-era hangar on the former Lowry Air Force Base
  • ~22,000 square feet, with the largest private hitting bays and seating areas in Denver
  • Full-service bar and elevated kitchen
  • Additional games: ping-pong, darts, pool, poker, yard games
  • On-site TrueSpec club fitting and professional instruction
  • Open to the public, with membership options available

The Experience & Play

Play runs on ten TrackMan simulators — the same radar-based, tour-level tracking technology used widely across professional golf. Golfers can play more than 230 of the world's most iconic courses, from St Andrews to Pebble Beach, plus dozens of tour venues, hitting into oversized screens within spacious private bays. The TrackMan app integrates with each session, letting players scan in and pull detailed shot, club, and ball data to their phones for analysis and tracking over time. The result is a setup that works equally well for a competitive group looking to grind out data and a casual crowd that just wants to play a famous course with drinks in hand — and because it's all indoors, weather and daylight never factor in.

Practice Facilities & Amenities

Beyond the simulators, The Hangar Club leans into its identity as a social space. A full-service bar pours craft cocktails, local beer, and wine, while the kitchen runs an intentionally elevated menu — flatbreads, sandwiches, shareable plates, and finger foods rather than standard greasy bar fare. Non-golf entertainment includes ping-pong, darts, pool, poker, and yard games, making it easy to keep a mixed group engaged. For players focused on equipment, the club offers TrueSpec club fitting on site, using launch-monitor technology and a brand-agnostic fitting matrix to dial in the right clubhead and shaft combinations.

Lessons & Instruction

The Hangar Club offers private lessons with teaching professionals for players at every level. As of 2024, its instruction roster has included Gary Bissell, recognized by Golf Digest among its Best Young Teachers in America and as a Best Teacher in his state — a strong credential for a simulator venue, where year-round, data-rich practice pairs naturally with coaching. Lessons are coordinated directly through the club's teaching staff. (Because the venue's live site blocks automated reads, current instructor names and credentials should be confirmed directly with the club before publication; contact for instruction details and pricing.)

Leagues & Events

Weekly leagues run for everyone from beginners to avid golfers, with formats for both individuals and teams competing on world-renowned courses and tour venues, plus food, drinks, and prizes. On the events side, the space is built to host: corporate outings, client entertainment, nonprofit fundraisers, bachelor and bachelorette parties, birthdays, and graduation celebrations are all regular uses. The venue can be booked for partial or full buyouts depending on group size.

Private Events & Group Gatherings

Private events are a core part of what The Hangar Club does. The combination of simulator bays, a dedicated lounge and event space, full food-and-beverage service, and the dramatic hangar setting suits everything from intimate team gatherings to large social celebrations. Groups can reserve simulator time alongside catering and on-site coordination, and the flexible layout supports both partial reservations and complete facility rental. The non-distracting, weather-proof indoor environment makes it especially strong for winter programming, evening events, and corporate gatherings where conversation matters as much as competition.

Membership

The Hangar Club offers memberships with a range of member-only benefits, including earlier daily access to the facility ahead of public booking hours. Membership suits regular players who want consistent practice and play through Colorado's off-season as well as those who value the club's social and networking atmosphere. Contact the club for current membership categories and details.

Planning Your Event Here

The Hangar Club is open to the public, which makes it an easy, flexible host for group events of most sizes. When planning, it's worth booking simulator bays well in advance for peak evening and weekend windows, and confirming whether your group wants a partial reservation or a full buyout. Food-and-beverage packages and on-site event coordination can be arranged through the venue team. The club can be reached at (720) 500-1141.

Apply for Event Management

Event Management Application (2027)
CUP manages 10 sporting events per season, and that is the cap.
Applications for the 2027 season are reviewed starting October 1, 2026. Returning clients confirm their dates first, then remaining slots go to new clients. This is an application, not a booking, and it takes about 6 minutes.

Your organization

Who is hosting, and how we reach you.

Beneficiary

Only if the event raises money for a cause.

Your sporting event

The basics we need to judge fit.

Out-of-state note: our standard pricing covers events held in Colorado. Events outside Colorado are quoted individually with travel and on-site costs included.
Worth knowing before you submit: our fully-managed service starts at 100 people on site. Below that the economics do not work for either of us, so this is likely not a fit. You can still apply, and you can always list your sporting event on the CUP calendar instead.
This one gets a custom quote. Our standard service model covers single-day events with 100 to 160 people on site, including vendors. Larger fields and multi-day events still work, we just scope them and send a custom quote instead of a standard price.

What success looks like

So we can tell you straight whether we are the right team.

Budget and timing

Fully-managed service is a real line item. Straight answers save us both time.

A CUP engagement runs roughly 150 to 200 hours of planning, design, marketing and coordination, handled by one team from the first call to the final award. Applications need a real budget line for professional management, separate from venue, food and prizes.
Worth knowing before you submit: a fully-managed engagement sits above this range, so this is likely not a fit for 2027. You are welcome to apply anyway. If self-serve is the better move right now, you can list your sporting event and add promotion here: list your event.
