Venue Overview

Grand Elk Golf Club is a semi-private mountain golf course in Granby, Colorado, and one of the most distinctive rounds in the state, it is Colorado's only Craig Stadler Signature course and the state's first Heathland-style layout. Nestled in the scenic Middle Park region of Grand County between Winter Park and Grand Lake, with the Continental Divide and Rocky Mountain National Park as its backdrop, Grand Elk was crafted by PGA Tour veteran Craig Stadler and architect Tripp Davis to echo the great inland courses of the British Isles. Open to the public and built for events, with full-service tournament hosting and on-site catering, it is a scenic, fun, and memorable home for tournaments, outings, and group play.

About the Course

Grand Elk is an 18-hole, par-71 championship course designed by PGA champion Craig Stadler and premier architect Tripp Davis and opened in 2002. Playing to 7,144 yards from the back tees with five sets of tees, this Heathland-style layout features gently rolling fairways, sod-faced bunkers, and large contoured greens, all set among natural wetlands at the headwaters of the Colorado River. It is a semi-private club, open to the public and to members. The Playing Experience

Grand Elk brings a taste of the Scottish heathland to the heart of the Rockies. Craig Stadler and Tripp Davis routed the course to work with the natural topography, so wide, undulating fairways roll through low-lying grassland and shrubs, flanked by more than 60 sod-faced bunkers that give the round its links character. The greens vary in size and pitch and can look more intimidating than they play, which makes for exciting, strategic golf, the front nine plays fairly straightforward, while the back gets trickier with a few doglegs and blind shots that reward local knowledge. Ten Mile Creek and preserved wetlands add both beauty and hazard, and with the snow-capped Continental Divide filling the horizon, few rounds in Colorado are this scenic. You can even "surf the turf" on one of the club's GolfBoards.

Apply for Event Management

Event Management Application (2027)
CUP manages 10 sporting events per season, and that is the cap.
Applications for the 2027 season are reviewed starting October 1, 2026. Returning clients confirm their dates first, then remaining slots go to new clients. This is an application, not a booking, and it takes about 6 minutes.

Your organization

Who is hosting, and how we reach you.

Beneficiary

Only if the event raises money for a cause.

Your sporting event

The basics we need to judge fit.

Out-of-state note: our standard pricing covers events held in Colorado. Events outside Colorado are quoted individually with travel and on-site costs included.
Worth knowing before you submit: our fully-managed service starts at 100 people on site. Below that the economics do not work for either of us, so this is likely not a fit. You can still apply, and you can always list your sporting event on the CUP calendar instead.
This one gets a custom quote. Our standard service model covers single-day events with 100 to 160 people on site, including vendors. Larger fields and multi-day events still work, we just scope them and send a custom quote instead of a standard price.

What success looks like

So we can tell you straight whether we are the right team.

Budget and timing

Fully-managed service is a real line item. Straight answers save us both time.

A CUP engagement runs roughly 150 to 200 hours of planning, design, marketing and coordination, handled by one team from the first call to the final award. Applications need a real budget line for professional management, separate from venue, food and prizes.
Worth knowing before you submit: a fully-managed engagement sits above this range, so this is likely not a fit for 2027. You are welcome to apply anyway. If self-serve is the better move right now, you can list your sporting event and add promotion here: list your event.
