Glenwood Springs Golf Club is a public 9-hole golf course that has welcomed golfers to the Roaring Fork Valley since 1955, set against the backdrop of Mt. Sopris and the surrounding Rocky Mountains. Designed by Henry Hughes, the USGA-approved, par-35 layout has been voted Colorado's best nine-hole public golf course, and its compact routing lets players complete a full 18 holes by playing the course twice in a single outing. Just minutes from Glenwood Springs' hot springs pools and Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, the course draws a mix of visiting golfers and small-town regulars who come back for its friendly, unhurried atmosphere and views up and down the Roaring Fork Valley. General Manager Cody Nelson has described the course's character best: the tee shot on the par-4 7th brings a lake into play before a blind approach, while the short, uphill par-3 3rd carries over a road below to an elevated green framed by Mt. Sopris.

Practice Facilities

The course includes a chipping and putting green along with a warm-up hitting net, giving golfers a place to loosen up before heading out onto the course. Tee times are required seven days a week and can be booked up to seven days in advance, and the pro shop also offers club repair services for golfers looking to tune up their equipment before a round. Elevated greens on the course's par threes add an extra layer of challenge to an otherwise walkable, family-friendly nine-hole layout.

The clubhouse is home to a full-service golf retail shop offering clubs, balls, clothing, and accessories, along with club repair services. The Greenside Grill serves lunch and dinner with a full bar, and its patio porch overlooking the valley and golf course is a favorite spot to unwind after a round. Visitors staying nearby can also take advantage of a free club rental with a hotel room key, making the course an easy stop for travelers passing through the valley. The course is typically open from March through October, seven days a week from 7 a.m. until close.
