The Fox Hill Club is a private, members-only club in Longmont, Colorado, widely known as the “Jewel of Northern Colorado” and the region’s premier private golf and family club. Its centerpiece is a championship 18-hole course designed by Frank Hummel, Longmont’s first 18-hole course, opened in 1973 and still regarded as one of the most challenging and beautifully maintained layouts in the area. About the Course
The Fox Hill Club’s championship golf course was designed by Frank Hummel and opened in 1973 as Longmont’s first 18-hole course, with later renovations by architect Dick Phelps that added bunkering and mounding. The par-70 layout is a traditional, tree-lined test that rewards precise shot-making. As a private club, play is reserved for members and their guests.

The Playing Experience
Fox Hill plays like classic, traditional golf, the kind that reminds visitors of a round in the Midwest or back east. The fairways are framed by huge, mature trees that demand precise shot management, and while the fairways and greens have relatively little contour, the trees and well-placed water hazards supply plenty of challenge. It is widely regarded as one of the toughest tests in the area, with the 425-yard par-4 6th standing as the number one handicap hole and the 577-yard par-5 7th the longest on the course. Always in pristine condition and set against a snow-capped mountain backdrop, Fox Hill rewards thoughtful, accurate golf while still moving at an enjoyable pace.
