Venue Overview

Family Sports Golf Course is a South Suburban Parks and Recreation facility in Centennial built around one distinctive feature: the Denver metro's only heated and lighted double-deck driving range, open year-round and late into the night. Paired with a 9-hole, par-31 executive course, an award-winning short game area, and 18 holes of outdoor miniature golf, it is one of the most practice-focused golf destinations in the south metro.

About the Course

The 9-hole, par-31 executive layout is built for golfers short on time or working on the scoring end of their game. It plays quickly, suits every ability level, and sits within a larger complex that keeps players busy well beyond the round itself.

The Metro's Only Year-Round Double-Deck Range

The two-tier range is the reason many golfers make the drive. Infrared heaters let players hit balls on cold days and nights, and the lights stay on late, making Family Sports a rare option in the Denver metro for practising in December as readily as in July. Adjacent to the range is an award-winning short game practice area with two large practice greens, two bunkers, and room to hit pitch shots up to 75 yards.

Practice Facilities & Amenities

Beyond the range and short game area, the complex includes the 18-hole Family Sports Outdoor Miniature Golf course, set among a waterfall and stream, and the Avalanche Grill, where a covered patio overlooks the golf course and windows look down on the ice rink where the Colorado Avalanche practise.

Lessons & Instruction

South Suburban's PGA teaching staff offers instruction on site, and GOLFTEC provides individual outdoor lessons at Family Sports Golf Range for every level of player, from first-timers to competitive golfers. (Instruction as of 2026.)

Family Sports sits inside the South Suburban golf system, which runs leagues, junior programming, and group outings across its courses. The range and short game area also make it a natural fit for range socials, clinics, and casual networking events rather than full 18-hole tournaments.

Rates & Tee Times

Nine-hole greens fees run $23 to $25 depending on resident status and day of week, with reduced youth, junior, and senior rates.
