Venue Overview

Coyote Creek Golf Course is a public, 18-hole golf course in Fort Lupton, Colorado, less than 30 minutes from Denver, Longmont, Boulder, or Greeley. Owned and operated by the City of Fort Lupton, the course was designed by architect Matt Eccles and opened in 1999, playing to a par of 71 across 6,412 yards from the longest tees, with a course rating of 69.3 and a slope rating of 116 — a layout that rewards accuracy over raw length and suits golfers of a wide range of skill levels.

About the Course

Coyote Creek was built along the South Platte River corridor northeast of the Denver metro area, giving the layout the rolling terrain, mature cottonwoods, and water features typical of Colorado's river-bottom courses. Since opening in 1999, it has become a steady fixture for Fort Lupton and Weld County golfers looking for an accessible, well-maintained municipal track close to home. The property is built out with a full clubhouse, snack bar, tournament pavilion, pro shop, and grass driving range, and its golf staff also runs one of the area's more active junior instruction programs.

Lessons & Instruction

Coyote Creek's golf staff, as of 2026, includes:
  • Tyler M. Tarpley, PGA — General Manager
  • Stephen Glowacki, PGA — Assistant Professional
  • Andrew Feola and Christopher (Chris) DeSantis — Assistant Professionals
Chris DeSantis has been part of the Coyote Creek staff since 2019 and coaches local high school boys' and girls' golf teams, having guided multiple players to state qualifying and state placing finishes. His teaching approach breaks the game into five core areas — full swing, short game, putting, course management, and the mental game. The course also runs an annual summer junior golf instruction program for ages 7–17, welcoming all skill levels. The three-session format includes range, chipping, and putting instruction, along with playing lessons scheduled during non-peak course times. Contact the golf shop at (303) 857-6152 to book a lesson or ask about upcoming junior clinics. Coyote Creek is also home to an active league scene: the Coyote Creek Men's Golf Association runs a handicapped, five-flight league on Wednesdays from early April through early September, with both nine- and eighteen-hole options, while the Coyote Creek Ladies Golf Association hosts a non-competitive nine-hole league on Tuesday afternoons from mid-April through mid-September, open to golfers of every experience level. The course also hosts a periodic Couples Night for members looking to play socially.

Tournaments & Events

Coyote Creek's municipal setting, full-length layout, and dedicated tournament pavilion make it a solid, budget-friendly host for club tournaments, scrambles, corporate outings, and junior/high school golf events. The clubhouse and outdoor patio also make the venue available for weddings and banquets, with the golf course staff coordinating setup and catering logistics for private events. Contact the golf shop directly at (303) 857-6152 to discuss availability and rates.

Apply for Event Management

Event Management Application (2027)
CUP manages 10 sporting events per season, and that is the cap.
Applications for the 2027 season are reviewed starting October 1, 2026. Returning clients confirm their dates first, then remaining slots go to new clients. This is an application, not a booking, and it takes about 6 minutes.

Your organization

Who is hosting, and how we reach you.

Beneficiary

Only if the event raises money for a cause.

Your sporting event

The basics we need to judge fit.

Out-of-state note: our standard pricing covers events held in Colorado. Events outside Colorado are quoted individually with travel and on-site costs included.
Worth knowing before you submit: our fully-managed service starts at 100 people on site. Below that the economics do not work for either of us, so this is likely not a fit. You can still apply, and you can always list your sporting event on the CUP calendar instead.
This one gets a custom quote. Our standard service model covers single-day events with 100 to 160 people on site, including vendors. Larger fields and multi-day events still work, we just scope them and send a custom quote instead of a standard price.

What success looks like

So we can tell you straight whether we are the right team.

Budget and timing

Fully-managed service is a real line item. Straight answers save us both time.

A CUP engagement runs roughly 150 to 200 hours of planning, design, marketing and coordination, handled by one team from the first call to the final award. Applications need a real budget line for professional management, separate from venue, food and prizes.
Worth knowing before you submit: a fully-managed engagement sits above this range, so this is likely not a fit for 2027. You are welcome to apply anyway. If self-serve is the better move right now, you can list your sporting event and add promotion here: list your event.

Then we will be in touch.
