Venue Overview

Bella Rosa Golf Course is a public, 9-hole regulation course in Frederick, Colorado, designed by architect Peter Bain and opened in 2006. The course plays 2,974 yards to a par of 35, with a course rating of 34, and winds through rolling terrain dotted with strategically placed bunkers and water hazards — a layout built to reward precision as much as length. Its compact routing and affordable rates make it an approachable option for golfers of every skill level looking for a quick, well-maintained round.

About the Course

Bella Rosa sits within the fast-growing town of Frederick, part of the residential corridor between Longmont and Fort Lupton in Weld County that has seen rapid population growth over the past two decades. As a Peter Bain-designed 9-hole regulation layout, it's built to be walkable and quick to play, with undulating greens that demand precision and finesse around well-guarded pins. The course has been under the direction of Head Golf Professional Tim Schwartz since 2017, and it has become a community gathering point for local leagues, junior programs, and casual golfers who don't have time for a full 18. Its Back 9 bar gives players a place to unwind after the round with drinks, grab-and-go snacks, and views across the course.

Lessons and Instruction

Bella Rosa's instruction program is led by:
  • Tim Schwartz — Head Golf Professional. Tim has worked in the golf industry since 1992, beginning his career as Caddy Master at Glenmoor Country Club before spending 11 years as First Assistant Golf Professional at Meridian Golf Club, where he worked with numerous top-level amateurs and professional athletes. He went on to serve as Head Golf Professional at Heritage Hills Golf Course in McCook, Nebraska, and spent 11 years as Head Golf Professional and General Manager at The Broadlands Golf Course before joining Bella Rosa as Head Golf Professional in 2017. Tim's teaching philosophy centers on building solid fundamentals while adapting to each player's individual needs, and he incorporates video analysis into his lessons.
Bella Rosa offers private, semi-private, group, and junior lesson packages, along with a five-week Learn to Golf Program (Ladies and mixed-group sessions) that covers etiquette, rules, and full-swing fundamentals for $150, including two 9-hole vouchers. The course also runs a full slate of Junior Golf programming — Summer beginner and intermediate camps, a Saturday Series, and a Fall Junior Program — all for ages 5 to 15 and taught by Tim Schwartz. Contact the golf shop at (303) 678-2940 or book online to schedule a lesson or enroll in a class.

Tournaments and Events

Bella Rosa's compact 9-hole layout, Back 9 bar, and central location in the Longmont/Frederick corridor make it a convenient host for scrambles, corporate outings, and community fundraisers. The course runs an active Men's Club league and hosts a full calendar of seasonal tournaments, including a Spring Scramble, Summer Golf Scramble, Fall Scramble, Family Golf Day, Glowball events, and the annual Santa Cops Golf Tournament charity event. Organizers can also book the course directly through its Host a Tournament program, which pairs a round with the option of a post-round gathering in the on-site rental room. Contact the golf shop at (303) 678-2940 to check availability and rates, or to host a tournament of your own.

Apply for Event Management

Event Management Application (2027)
CUP manages 10 sporting events per season, and that is the cap.
Applications for the 2027 season are reviewed starting October 1, 2026. Returning clients confirm their dates first, then remaining slots go to new clients. This is an application, not a booking, and it takes about 6 minutes.

Your organization

Who is hosting, and how we reach you.

Beneficiary

Only if the event raises money for a cause.

Your sporting event

The basics we need to judge fit.

Out-of-state note: our standard pricing covers events held in Colorado. Events outside Colorado are quoted individually with travel and on-site costs included.
Worth knowing before you submit: our fully-managed service starts at 100 people on site. Below that the economics do not work for either of us, so this is likely not a fit. You can still apply, and you can always list your sporting event on the CUP calendar instead.
This one gets a custom quote. Our standard service model covers single-day events with 100 to 160 people on site, including vendors. Larger fields and multi-day events still work, we just scope them and send a custom quote instead of a standard price.

What success looks like

So we can tell you straight whether we are the right team.

Budget and timing

Fully-managed service is a real line item. Straight answers save us both time.

A CUP engagement runs roughly 150 to 200 hours of planning, design, marketing and coordination, handled by one team from the first call to the final award. Applications need a real budget line for professional management, separate from venue, food and prizes.
Worth knowing before you submit: a fully-managed engagement sits above this range, so this is likely not a fit for 2027. You are welcome to apply anyway. If self-serve is the better move right now, you can list your sporting event and add promotion here: list your event.

Then we will be in touch.
