Venue Overview
Black Bear Golf Club is a distinctive private championship golf course in Parker, Colorado, set just blocks from historic downtown Parker in the Rocky Mountain foothills. Designed by acclaimed architect Jeff Brauer and winding through dramatic ravines and arroyos with more than 200 feet of elevation change, it delivers spectacular views stretching from Pikes Peak to Longs Peak. Now part of the Invited Clubs family, Black Bear pairs with sister club Blackstone Country Club in Aurora under a "one membership, two clubs" concept, giving members 36 holes of championship golf along with dining, instruction, and access to tennis, pickleball, fitness, and swimming. It is a scenic, welcoming home for member golf, tournaments, and events.About the Course
Black Bear's championship golf course is an 18-hole, par-72 layout designed by Jeffrey D. Brauer and opened in 1996 (originally known as Canterberry). One of the most distinctive courses in the Rocky Mountain region, it plays to 7,143 yards, weaving through ravines and arroyos with more than 200 feet of elevation change and a links-style character. A large four-acre lake and well-placed bunkers bring water and sand into play, and forced carries add drama on several holes. As part of a private club, play is reserved for members and their guests. Course features: 18-hole, par-72 championship course designed by Jeff Brauer 7,143 yards from the back tees, with a course rating of 73.4 and a slope of 142 Opened in 1996, formerly known as Canterberry Golf Course More than 200 feet of elevation change through ravines and arroyos Links-style design with elevated tees and forced carries A large four-acre lake and strategic sand bunkers Spectacular views from Pikes Peak to Longs Peak Bent grass greens, just blocks from historic downtown ParkerThe Playing Experience
Black Bear is one of the more dramatic and distinctive rounds on the Front Range. Jeff Brauer routed the course through a landscape of ravines and arroyos, using more than 200 feet of elevation change to serve up both a genuine challenge and jaw-dropping vistas, on a clear day you can see from Pikes Peak all the way to Longs Peak. The links-style layout features elevated tees, a four-acre lake, and forced carries to well-bunkered greens, so there are plenty of decisions to make and shots to think through. Well-maintained with true bent grass greens and known for a quick, enjoyable pace, it is a fun and memorable test for golfers of every level.Practice, Instruction & the Golf School
