Round up your foursome and make plans to golf for a cause on June 8th at CASA of the Pikes Peak Region’s inaugural Fore the Kids Golf Tournament!
Tournament proceeds go directly to programs that change the lives of the most vulnerable members of this community – abused and neglected children.
Each year, the Pikes Peak Region ranks #1 in the state of Colorado for number of calls made to the Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline. Last year, there were about 18,000 calls. Hundreds of these kids end up removed from their homes and placed in foster care. What these kids need more than anything during this traumatic time is a trusted adult to stand by their side. And that is exactly what CASA provides.
With a mission to give a voice in court to child victims, CASA recruits, trains, and supports community volunteers to ensure the best interest of these kids remains front and center during court proceedings when decisions are being made about their living arrangements, family relations, medical needs, educations, and futures.
Studies have shown that CASA’s 1-1 advocacy results in higher high school graduation rates, lower delinquency and homelessness rates, and faster paths to permanency for the kiddos served.
Last year, CASA served 527 of the 672 children in need. To close the gap and serve EVERY child in need, CASA needs to raise more funds and recruit more volunteers. By registering a team, you can be a part of the solution.
