Overland Park Golf Course is an 18-hole municipal golf course in Denver, Colorado, and the oldest running golf course west of the Mississippi — originally home to the Denver Country Club. Lessons & Instruction

Overland Park's teaching staff, as of 2026, includes:

• Mike Paavilainen, PGA, Head Golf Professional — based at Overland Park; PGA HOPE and ADM certified, a graduate of the San Diego Golf Academy's Golf Complex Management and Operations program (2006).

Private, group, playing, and junior lessons are available at the facility. Lessons are typically taught April through November. Denver Golf instructors may also teach across other Denver Golf facilities.

Tournaments & Events

Overland Park is part of the citywide Denver Golf events program, which runs public tournaments and league play across its eight courses throughout the season, and has hosted the Denver Senior Men's City Amateur. Groups and organizers can also book tee times directly for outings and scrambles at Overland Park.
