Venue Overview

Aqua Golf at 501 W Florida Ave is Denver's only municipal water driving range, and the City calls it its signature water driving range. Every shot you hit lands in a lake. Paired with the range are 36 holes of miniature golf across two courses. It is a City of Denver Golf facility, drop-in by default, and one of the more genuinely fun stops in the Denver muni system for casual players, families and fundraiser groups.

About the Range and the Courses

The range has 25 stations, all mats, all lighted, with no club restrictions and a water landing area. The mini golf is two 18-hole courses named Santa Fe and Platte River, both featuring water hazards and sand traps just like a real golf course. There is also an indoor ping pong table available to rent. No FootGolf and no night golf here, those run at other Denver Golf courses.

Hitting Into the Water

The water landing area is the whole point. There is no other municipal range in Denver where the target is a lake, and it changes how the session feels: distance reads differently, and the splash gives you instant feedback. Combined with lights on all 25 stations, it makes for a good evening stop.

Lessons & Instruction

The City is direct about this one. The official lessons page states that there are no instructors currently at this location, and to call for lesson information. Range passes purchased here are valid at any Denver Golf driving range, including City Park, Kennedy and Overland; they are sold at the pro shop rather than online, and all sales are final.

Events & Outings

Aqua Golf does not host a named public tournament, but it does host private events, including birthday parties, business meetings and corporate outings, through a dedicated inquiry form, and whole-facility buyouts are handled the same way. Between the mini golf, the range and the patio, it is a natural fit for a putt-putt fundraiser or a light-hearted corporate scramble alternative.

No reservations are required for ordinary play, and range space is first-come, first-served, but reservations are required for groups larger than 50, or if your group needs the patio or meeting room. Pricing is pay-per-use: four bucket sizes at the range, 18- and 36-hole mini golf rounds with junior and senior tiers, optional prepaid range passes, and hourly patio and meeting-room rentals. No membership is needed. One planning note: the City publishes conflicting hours across its own page tabs, with summer opening listed as either 9:00 or 10:00 AM and winter closing as either 8:00 PM or dusk.
