Venue Overview

Gypsum Creek Golf Course is a public 18-hole championship course in Gypsum, roughly 35 miles west of Vail in the Eagle Valley. Designed by Pete Dye and built across a steep, sage-covered mesa, the course rewards precise shot-making over raw power, with dramatic elevation changes and testing angles from the first tee to the last green. Gypsum Creek itself winds through the layout, and golfers get sweeping views of the Red Table Mountains throughout the round. Opened in 1997 as the semi-private Cotton Ranch Golf Club, the Town of Gypsum purchased the course in January 2010, renamed it, and reopened it as a fully public facility offering one of the longest golf seasons in the Eagle Valley. Golf HQ Magazine has ranked Gypsum Creek among Colorado's Top 10 golf courses, and golfers regularly praise the layout as one of the best values in the Vail Valley for the quality of the course and the friendliness of the staff.

Practice Facilities

Gypsum Creek's practice area includes a driving range with four practice tees along with a dedicated putting green, giving golfers room to warm up before tackling the course's demanding elevation changes and prevailing winds.
