Venue Overview

Frost Creek is one of Colorado's finest exclusive golf and mountain resort communities, tucked into the secluded Brush Creek Valley just west of Vail in Eagle County. The 285-acre, members-only property is surrounded by thousands of acres of federal and state protected land, creating a private setting that feels miles from everything while sitting just 15 minutes from the Eagle/Vail airport and I-70. At the center of the community is a Tom Weiskopf-designed championship course, one of his marquis designs, built on a blank slate the architect was given before any surrounding development took shape. Frost Creek was named among Golfweek's Best 2020 Top 10 Private Clubs in Colorado.

About the Course

  • 18-hole championship course designed by PGA Champion Tom Weiskopf on a blank-slate site
  • Set on 285 acres in the secluded Brush Creek Valley, just west of Vail
  • Eight man-made lakes woven through the layout, with ten holes playing around or adjacent to water
  • Front holes climb into sagebrush and mountain terrain; back holes turn to lush, tree-lined fairways, pond-protected greens, and rushing water along Brush Creek
  • Course architect Tom Weiskopf called it "a truly memorable course to play," one that "challenges both expert and novice alike, with holes that are both spectacular in nature and forgiving in play"
  • Named among Golfweek's Best 2020 Top 10 Private Clubs in Colorado
  • Located roughly 15 minutes from the Eagle/Vail airport and I-70

Practice Facilities

Members have access to a full practice complex including a driving range along with dedicated chipping and putting areas, giving golfers a complete space to prepare before heading out onto the course's eight-lake layout.

Dining and Amenities

The heart of the community is a 40,000-square-foot clubhouse featuring fine dining, a members' lounge, a spa, and a fitness center. Frost Creek's restaurant focuses on an eclectic, ever-changing menu built with high-quality ingredients, served with unparalleled views over the course and valley. Beyond golf, members can enjoy an outdoor pool and pool house, fly fishing along Brush Creek, mountain and road biking, hiking, and fitness classes, along with personalized concierge service and private shuttle access to skiing at Vail and Beaver Creek during the winter months. Ten luxury cabins and two yurts provide on-site lodging for members, family, and guests exploring the property and surrounding Vail Valley.

Lessons & Instruction

  • Ben P. Welsh, PGA Master Professional — Head Professional
  • David A. Brown, PGA — Assistant Professional
Frost Creek's golf operations team, led by Head Professional Ben Welsh, a PGA Master Professional, oversees instruction, member play, and tournament operations across the Weiskopf-designed course. Members and their guests can arrange lessons directly through the golf shop, with instruction tailored to the course's dramatic shift in character from its sagebrush-lined opening holes to its water-protected closing stretch along Brush Creek.

Tournaments & Events

As a private club, Frost Creek hosts member outings, club events, and social tournaments throughout the season rather than open public events. The club's blend of championship golf, luxury lodging, and resort-style amenities makes it a popular setting among members for hosting guests and sponsoring invitational rounds, and its Top 10 Colorado private club ranking, along with recognition from Colorado Avid Golfer's CAGGY Awards, reflects a course and property built for a premium member experience.

Planning Your Event Here

Given its private, membership-based structure, hosting an event at Frost Creek requires member sponsorship rather than open public booking. Members interested in organizing a group outing, tournament, or guest round should coordinate directly with the golf shop to arrange tee times, dining, and any lodging needs across the property's cabins and yurts.

Apply for Event Management

Event Management Application (2027)
CUP manages 10 sporting events per season, and that is the cap.
Applications for the 2027 season are reviewed starting October 1, 2026. Returning clients confirm their dates first, then remaining slots go to new clients. This is an application, not a booking, and it takes about 6 minutes.

Your organization

Who is hosting, and how we reach you.

Beneficiary

Only if the event raises money for a cause.

Your sporting event

The basics we need to judge fit.

Out-of-state note: our standard pricing covers events held in Colorado. Events outside Colorado are quoted individually with travel and on-site costs included.
Worth knowing before you submit: our fully-managed service starts at 100 people on site. Below that the economics do not work for either of us, so this is likely not a fit. You can still apply, and you can always list your sporting event on the CUP calendar instead.
This one gets a custom quote. Our standard service model covers single-day events with 100 to 160 people on site, including vendors. Larger fields and multi-day events still work, we just scope them and send a custom quote instead of a standard price.

What success looks like

So we can tell you straight whether we are the right team.

Budget and timing

Fully-managed service is a real line item. Straight answers save us both time.

A CUP engagement runs roughly 150 to 200 hours of planning, design, marketing and coordination, handled by one team from the first call to the final award. Applications need a real budget line for professional management, separate from venue, food and prizes.
Worth knowing before you submit: a fully-managed engagement sits above this range, so this is likely not a fit for 2027. You are welcome to apply anyway. If self-serve is the better move right now, you can list your sporting event and add promotion here: list your event.
