Step by step

Running a gymnastics event in Colorado? Here's how to plan it, pick a format and run it on Colorado Under Par, start to finish.

What it looks like

Colorado amateur gymnastics includes gym-hosted meets, recreational showcases and camps at club facilities year round, with kids, teens and adult learners.

Formats

Artistic (All-Around)
Gymnasts compete on every apparatus, such as vault, bars, beam and floor for women.
Tumbling & Trampoline
Athletes perform passes on a tumbling strip or routines on trampoline and double mini.
Rhythmic
Gymnasts perform floor routines to music with a ribbon, hoop, ball, clubs or rope.
Acrobatic
Pairs or groups perform balance and tumbling routines lifting and catching each other.
Gymnastics for All
A non-competitive showcase where groups of all ages perform routines for fun, with no scores or rankings.
Handstand Hold Contest
Gymnasts see who can hold a handstand the longest on the floor mat, with coaches spotting. Easy to run and a crowd favorite.
Pledge Per Skill
Supporters pledge a small amount for every skill an athlete lands in a set time. A classic gym fundraiser for team travel or charity.
Spirit Medal Ceremony
Every athlete gets a ribbon, and one gymnast from each team wins a spirit medal voted by coaches. Pose all teams together for a final photo.

Build it

In the Organizer Dashboard, click Create event and pick gymnastics and your format. Every tab, word and Start here guide then follows your sport.

Registration

Choose your team size and divisions, like level 1-2, level 3 and level 4. In Registration, ask what you need from each entrant, like USA Gymnastics member number and club, gym or team you represent.

Results

Open Scores and results. Your sport starts set up with rounds and judges per round. Send each judge their phone link, no login needed. With three or more judges you can drop the high and low score. Tick Post results to show places by level.

Event day

Gymnasts check in and march in, warm up on each apparatus, rotate through events while judges score, then awards are handed out by level and age.
