Step by step

Running a boxing event in Colorado? Here's how to plan it, pick a format and run it on Colorado Under Par, start to finish.

What it looks like

Amateur and charity boxing in Colorado runs year round at gyms, event halls and hotels, from sanctioned youth and adult bouts to fundraiser fight nights.

Formats

Amateur Bout (Sanctioned)
Boxers matched by age, weight and experience fight short rounds under an amateur governing body's rules, with certified judges, a referee and a ringside doctor.
Boxing Show / Card
A full event with a lineup of bouts, building from novice to main event.
White-Collar / Charity
Newcomers, often local business people, train for several weeks, then box exhibition bouts in front of a crowd to raise money.
Sparring Exhibition
Boxers spar at controlled intensity with headgear, often with no official winner.
Smoker / Club Show
An informal fight night at a gym or club, with matched bouts between members and nearby gyms in a social setting.
Speed Bag Challenge
See who lands the most speed bag hits in 30 seconds. It is fun to watch and anyone can step up for a try.
Pledge Per Round
Supporters pledge a set amount for every round their boxer completes. Each bell raises more money, and the crowd feels it.
Championship Belt Photo
Winners receive a championship belt and pose for photos in the ring. It is the moment every boxer remembers.

Build it

In the Organizer Dashboard, click Create event and pick boxing and your format. Every tab, word and Start here guide then follows your sport.

Registration

Choose your team size and divisions, like novice, open and youth. In Registration, ask what you need from each entrant, like weight for weigh-in and USA Boxing number.

Results

Open Brackets and schedule. Pick the division, pool play or a bracket, your rings, the first game time and minutes per game. Each of your rings gets its own phone link for scores, and every score updates the bracket for everyone. Tick Post on the event page so players follow it live.

Event day

Boxers check in for weigh-ins and medical checks, warm up, fight in order, judges score each bout and winners are announced in the ring. For weigh-ins, Check-in has a scale weight box under each competitor: green means they make their class, red shows how far over.

Fun ideas

Tip

One tip for first-timers: work with the state or amateur governing body early, since sanctioned bouts need approved officials, a doctor and proper paperwork.
