About the Course

Washington County Golf Club has served Akron and the surrounding agricultural communities of Washington County for more than five decades, providing an accessible public course in one of Colorado’s more remote farming regions. Its two tee sets give golfers of different skill levels an appropriate test, and its no-dress-code policy reflects the same laid-back, welcoming character found at many of the small-town courses scattered across the state’s northeastern plains. The course sits along a well-traveled stretch of Highway 63, making it an easy stop for golfers passing through Washington County.

Akron sits along the Highway 34 corridor connecting Fort Morgan to the Nebraska border, and the golf club has long served as a community gathering point for a county built around agriculture and ranching. That same rural character has kept the course an affordable, dependable option for area golfers across generations.
