Venue Overview

The Hangar Club is an indoor golf and social venue in Denver, set inside a restored 1942 World War II-era aircraft hangar on the former Lowry Air Force Base. The soaring, light-filled 22,000 square foot space once trained wartime bombardiers and now houses ten TrackMan simulators. That mix of military-aviation architecture and top-tier simulation gives the venue a character no strip-mall simulator room can match, and its full bar, elevated kitchen and dedicated event space make it one of the metro's more distinctive places to host a corporate outing, fundraiser or private party year-round.

About the Bays

The club opened in 2023 after founders including James Love, a former touring professional, and Daren Schmidt of Allante Properties invested a reported 3.3 million dollars renovating the hangar. The original eight massive steel beams, large factory windows and ceilings high enough to clear aircraft tail-fins remain, flooding the space with natural light. It sits next to the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum at Lowry.

The Simulator Technology

TrackMan's radar-based, tour-level tracking is used widely across professional golf. Golfers can play more than 230 of the world's most iconic courses, from St Andrews to Pebble Beach, plus dozens of tour venues, on oversized screens in spacious private bays. The TrackMan app lets players scan in and pull shot, club and ball data to their phones to track over time.

Lessons & Instruction

The Hangar Club offers private lessons with teaching professionals for every level, coordinated through the club's teaching staff. As of 2024, its instruction roster included Gary Bissell, recognized by Golf Digest among its Best Young Teachers in America and as a Best Teacher in his state. Confirm current instructors directly with the club.

Private Events & Groups

Private events are a core part of the business: corporate outings, client entertainment, nonprofit fundraisers, bachelor and bachelorette parties, birthdays and graduation celebrations. Groups can reserve simulator time with catering and on-site coordination, and the venue can be booked as a partial or full buyout depending on group size. The weather-proof indoor setting is especially strong for winter programming, evening events and corporate gatherings where conversation matters as much as competition.

Membership

Memberships carry member-only benefits, including earlier daily access ahead of public booking. They suit regular players who want consistent practice through Colorado's off-season and those who value the club's social and networking atmosphere. Contact the club for current categories.
