Venue Overview

The Course At Petteys Park is a 9-hole public golf course in Brush, Colorado, serving Morgan County and the surrounding Eastern Plains region. Opened in 1971 as Bunker Hill Country Club, the course has since become Brush Municipal Golf Course at Petteys Park, offering full-length par-70 golf across two combinable tee sets with course ratings ranging from 69.2 to 70.4 for men and 71.4 to 74.8 for women.

About the Course

The Course At Petteys Park has anchored golf in Brush for more than five decades, evolving from its original identity as Bunker Hill Country Club into the well-regarded municipal facility it is today. Its blue and white tee combinations give golfers real flexibility in how they approach the layout, and its course ratings put it a step above many of the smaller 9-hole tracks scattered across Colorado's Eastern Plains. The club has built a full-service reputation, supported by an active cafe and lounge, banquet room, tournament schedule, and organized leagues that keep the course busy throughout the golf season. The transformation from a private country club into a full-featured municipal course reflects a broader pattern across the Eastern Plains, where towns have taken over aging private clubs to keep golf accessible and affordable for their communities. Brush's investment in the course shows in its amenities, which go well beyond what most 9-hole municipal courses in the region typically offer.

Practice Facilities

The Course At Petteys Park offers practice space for golfers to prepare before their round, supporting the full-service experience the club has built around its 9-hole layout.

Dining and Amenities

The Course At Petteys Park features an on-site cafe and lounge with daily specials, giving golfers a place to relax before or after their round. The club also offers a banquet room available for events, and an active E-Club keeps members and regulars up to date on course news, specials, and tournament announcements.

Lessons & Instruction

The Course At Petteys Park offers individual, group, and playing lessons with Director of Golf Carson Henry, a PGA of America Associate based in the Colorado Section. Lesson rates include a 30-minute lesson for $40, a full-hour lesson for $75, and a five-lesson package for $350. Golfers can call the golf shop directly at (970) 842-5470 to schedule instruction.

Tournaments & Events

The Course At Petteys Park runs a full tournament schedule each season, published annually on the club's website, along with organized leagues that bring together golfers from Brush and the surrounding Morgan County communities. The banquet room and cafe make it easy to extend tournament days into full social events. The club also welcomes annual pass holders, giving regular golfers a cost-effective way to enjoy the course throughout the season.

Planning Your Event Here

The Course At Petteys Park's full-service amenities, including its cafe, banquet room, and active tournament calendar, make it one of the more complete event venues on Colorado's Eastern Plains. Its combination of course quality, on-site instruction, and hospitality make it a strong choice for corporate outings, club tournaments, and community fundraisers alike.

Apply for Event Management

Event Management Application (2027)
CUP manages 10 sporting events per season, and that is the cap.
Applications for the 2027 season are reviewed starting October 1, 2026. Returning clients confirm their dates first, then remaining slots go to new clients. This is an application, not a booking, and it takes about 6 minutes.

Your organization

Who is hosting, and how we reach you.

Beneficiary

Only if the event raises money for a cause.

Your sporting event

The basics we need to judge fit.

Out-of-state note: our standard pricing covers events held in Colorado. Events outside Colorado are quoted individually with travel and on-site costs included.
Worth knowing before you submit: our fully-managed service starts at 100 people on site. Below that the economics do not work for either of us, so this is likely not a fit. You can still apply, and you can always list your sporting event on the CUP calendar instead.
This one gets a custom quote. Our standard service model covers single-day events with 100 to 160 people on site, including vendors. Larger fields and multi-day events still work, we just scope them and send a custom quote instead of a standard price.

What success looks like

So we can tell you straight whether we are the right team.

Budget and timing

Fully-managed service is a real line item. Straight answers save us both time.

A CUP engagement runs roughly 150 to 200 hours of planning, design, marketing and coordination, handled by one team from the first call to the final award. Applications need a real budget line for professional management, separate from venue, food and prizes.
Worth knowing before you submit: a fully-managed engagement sits above this range, so this is likely not a fit for 2027. You are welcome to apply anyway. If self-serve is the better move right now, you can list your sporting event and add promotion here: list your event.
