Venue Overview

Stick & Feather is a golf simulator bar and lounge in Denver, set in the York Street Yards development in north Denver, just south of Interstate 70 and a few minutes from the National Western Center and RiNo. Its standout is room to swing: five extra-wide simulator bays inside a 6,000 square foot lounge with high ceilings, a Gatsby-inspired bar and leather seating. It was started by four friends and avid golfers who wanted to make golf more welcoming to everyone, including non-golfers. As an indoor golf venue it plays year-round, which suits small tournaments, team outings and birthday groups when Denver courses are under snow.

About the Bays

  • Five extra-wide golf simulator bays
  • Camera-based simulators that let guests play almost any course in the world
  • About 6,000 square feet of lounge space
  • Large patio, pool table, shuffleboard and board games
  • Privately owned by a group of four local golfers

History

Co-owner Ry Hawley filed plans for the bar at the York Street Yards site in 2021, describing a five-bay simulator lounge built to feel welcoming to golfers and non-golfers alike. The Colorado Golf Association reported that the four owners, all members of the CommonGround men’s club, opened Stick & Feather in November 2022.

Indoor Golf Simulator Play in North Denver

The five bays are wider than a typical simulator stall, so a group can stand back and watch without crowding the hitter. At opening the Colorado Golf Association described the system as Uneekor, a camera-based launch monitor, and the simulators give players access to a large library of real courses. Extra width and a lounge layout make the room as much about hanging out as practicing.

Events Held Here

Stick & Feather hosts the kinds of events that fit a five-bay golf lounge: small simulator tournaments, closest-to-the-pin contests, corporate team outings, birthday parties and small fundraisers. With pool, shuffleboard and a patio alongside the bays, an event can keep non-golfers busy while groups rotate through the simulators. Ask the venue about current leagues before planning a recurring night. Upcoming events at this venue are listed below.

Lessons, Coaching & Programs

At opening, the Colorado Golf Association reported that coaches from CommonGround’s Experience Golf program were on site to teach. Contact Stick & Feather for current lesson options and instructors.

Planning Your Event Here

Five bays is the number to plan around: a small tournament or outing works best as a rotation through the bays with the bar, patio and games as home base. Weekend evenings book up first, so reserve early and confirm how many players each bay holds before you set your headcount. The venue sits a short drive from Interstate 70. Contact the venue for current pricing and availability.

Apply for Event Management

Event Management Application (2027)
CUP manages 10 sporting events per season, and that is the cap.
Applications for the 2027 season are open now. Returning clients confirm their dates first, then remaining slots go to new clients. This is an application, not a booking, and it takes about 6 minutes.

Your organization

Who is hosting, and how we reach you.

Beneficiary

Only if the event raises money for a cause.

Your sporting event

The basics we need to judge fit.

Out-of-state note: our standard pricing covers events held in Colorado. Events outside Colorado are quoted individually with travel and on-site costs included.
Worth knowing before you submit: our fully-managed service starts at 100 people on site. Below that the economics do not work for either of us, so this is likely not a fit. You can still apply, and you can always list your sporting event on the CUP calendar instead.
This one gets a custom quote. Our standard service model covers single-day events with 100 to 160 people on site, including vendors. Larger fields and multi-day events still work, we just scope them and send a custom quote instead of a standard price.

What success looks like

So we can tell you straight whether we are the right team.

Budget and timing

Fully-managed service is a real line item. Straight answers save us both time.

A CUP engagement runs roughly 150 to 200 hours of planning, design, marketing and coordination, handled by one team from the first call to the final award. Applications need a real budget line for professional management, separate from venue, food and prizes.
Worth knowing before you submit: a fully-managed engagement sits above this range, so this is likely not a fit for 2027. You are welcome to apply anyway. If self-serve is the better move right now, you can list your sporting event and add promotion here: list your event.
