Venue Overview
Southpark Pickleball Complex opened January 31, 2026 at 400 W County Line Rd, a purpose-built 15-acre site with nineteen dedicated, lighted, fenced outdoor pickleball courts. It is jointly operated: South Suburban Parks and Recreation manages the west courts, numbered 1 through 10, and Highlands Ranch Metro District owns and manages the east courts, 11 through 19. What makes it rare is that it is all pickleball. As SSPRD's Nicole Stehlik told Denver7, most of the community is having to share courts with tennis facilities, and this complex relieves that conflict.
About the Courts
Nineteen outdoor courts, all fenced, all dedicated pickleball with permanent nets. No tennis sharing and no dual striping anywhere on site. Lighting is push-button operated and available year-round from sunset until 10:00 PM, and every court has electrical outlets. Court surface material is not published by either agency, so we have not listed one. The complex is open daily 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Which Courts You Can Actually Book
This is the detail most listings get wrong, so it is worth stating plainly: managed is not the same as reservable. Only courts 3 through 10 are reservable through South Suburban, and only 11 through 17 through the Metro District. Courts 18 and 19 are dedicated at all times to free drop-in play and cannot be booked out except for a large special event or tournament. That comes to nineteen courts total, fifteen reservable, and at least two permanently free. Neither agency publishes the status of courts 1 and 2.

Lessons & Instruction
Programming launched in May 2026, phased in after opening. The Metro District states that all of its programs are held on the east courts, 11 through 19, and runs Learn to Play Beginner Level 1 lessons, Beginner Open Play with an Instructor, and three-week intermediate bootcamps with a separate 55-and-over track. South Suburban runs morning and evening in-house leagues plus classes, bootcamps and clinics throughout the week. No coaches are named publicly at this site.
Leagues & Events
The Metro District runs five adult leagues here: Monday Evening Mixed Beginner, Tuesday Evening Women's, Wednesday Evening Mixed Intermediate, Thursday Morning 55+ Mixed Intermediate and Thursday Evening Men's Intermediate. Each team plays ten regular-season matches plus an end-of-season tournament. The Ruler of the Court Tournament, an individual-entry rotating-partner event with 3.0 to 3.5 and 3.5 to 4.0 bands, ran Saturday May 9 in 2026.
Planning Your Sporting Event Here
Nineteen courts on one site with lighting to 10:00 PM, 147 parking spaces and year-round heated restrooms make Southpark the most capable outdoor pickleball tournament site in the south metro. Outside tournaments are accepted through the official Southpark Facility Request Form. For ordinary play, drop-in is free and first-come, first-served. Optional reservations split across two systems: east courts 11 to 17 through the Metro District at 303-791-2710, limited to two courts for two hours per day, bookable two weeks ahead and at least 90 minutes before start, with changes and cancellations by phone only; west courts 3 to 10 through South Suburban's registration site with a two-hour limit and a seven-day window.
