Venue Overview

RainDance National Golf Club in Windsor, Colorado is the longest golf course in North America, a Fred Funk design that tips out at a staggering 8,463 yards across the high plains of the Front Range. Opened in 2022 and quickly decorated with national honors, including Golf Digest's runner-up for Best New Public Course, this semi-private resort course is built around dramatic arroyos, 250 feet of elevation change, and big mountain views, with Longs Peak framing the opening hole. With multiple tee sets that bring the course down to a friendly 4,919 yards, a massive practice complex, on-site dining, and resort amenities, RainDance National is a true destination venue for tournaments, corporate outings, and golf trips.

About the Course

RainDance National is the centerpiece of RainDance Resort, a master-planned community in Windsor, about 45 minutes north of Denver. Designed by PGA Tour Champion Fred Funk alongside veteran architect Harrison Minchew, a 26-year associate of Arnold Palmer's design company, the course is open to public play, with members enjoying advance tee-time access.

Course features:

18-hole semi-private resort course, opened in 2022 The longest golf course in North America, tipping out at 8,463 yards Multiple tee sets ranging from 4,919 to 8,463 yards About 250 feet of elevation change, with only a few holes playing uphill Designed by PGA Tour Champion Fred Funk and architect Harrison Minchew Routed through deep arroyos that run toward the Poudre River Mountain views throughout, with Longs Peak framing the opening hole Massive, dramatically contoured practice putting green On-site Grainhouse Restaurant and RainDance National Golf Shop Part of the RainDance Resort community, with dining, simulator play, and more

The Playing Experience

RainDance National plays unlike anything else in the region. The defining feature is a series of arroyos, deep canyons 20 to 30 feet across the property, that force a string of bold, all-carry decisions off the tee and into the greens. Length is its calling card, but with several sets of tees and roughly 10 percent more carry at 5,000 feet of elevation, it stays playable and genuinely fun for everyone, not just the pros it was built to challenge. Standouts include a par-4 that stretches past 600 yards, a par-3 that can play close to 270, and a downhill one-shotter framed by the mountains, proof that this course bends the usual scale of golf. Farming relics scattered across the property and sweeping Front Range views give every round a sense of place you will not find anywhere else.

Practice Facilities & Amenities

RainDance National backs up its championship layout with a full practice and hospitality setup:

Driving range and warm-up area Enormous practice putting green with bold undulations Short-game practice area RainDance National Golf Shop, home to one of the best logos in golf Grainhouse Restaurant for dining before or after a round Resort amenities including simulator play and seasonal activities

Golf Lessons & Instruction

Player development at RainDance National is led by Chris Williamson, PGA, who serves as Director of Instruction across RainDance National and its sister property, Pelican Lakes (as of 2025). A PGA member for over a decade, Williamson earned PGA Specialized status in Teaching and Coaching in 2020, placing him among the top five percent of PGA professionals in those fields. Lessons and clinics are available for players of all ages and skill levels; contact the golf shop for current options and pricing.

Tournaments & Events

Designed to challenge the best players in the game while staying enjoyable for everyone, RainDance National is a standout venue for tournaments and group golf. Its resort setting, dramatic layout, and on-site dining make it a memorable host for events that want a true destination feel.

Individual, Family, and Corporate options are available, and as a semi-private course, members also enjoy advance tee-time access. Membership structure and benefits are available directly from the club; contact for current options and pricing.

Planning Your Event Here

RainDance National is a natural fit for organizers who want a destination course with national recognition, a one-of-a-kind layout, and resort amenities to round out the day. Event availability, formats, and group arrangements are coordinated directly with the RainDance National team and are subject to seasonal demand and course conditions. Apply for Event Management

Event Management Application (2027)
CUP manages 10 sporting events per season, and that is the cap.
Applications for the 2027 season are reviewed starting October 1, 2026. Returning clients confirm their dates first, then remaining slots go to new clients. This is an application, not a booking, and it takes about 6 minutes.

Your organization

Who is hosting, and how we reach you.

Beneficiary

Only if the event raises money for a cause.

Your sporting event

The basics we need to judge fit.

Out-of-state note: our standard pricing covers events held in Colorado. Events outside Colorado are quoted individually with travel and on-site costs included.
Worth knowing before you submit: our fully-managed service starts at 100 people on site. Below that the economics do not work for either of us, so this is likely not a fit. You can still apply, and you can always list your sporting event on the CUP calendar instead.
This one gets a custom quote. Our standard service model covers single-day events with 100 to 160 people on site, including vendors. Larger fields and multi-day events still work, we just scope them and send a custom quote instead of a standard price.

What success looks like

So we can tell you straight whether we are the right team.

Budget and timing

Fully-managed service is a real line item. Straight answers save us both time.

A CUP engagement runs roughly 150 to 200 hours of planning, design, marketing and coordination, handled by one team from the first call to the final award. Applications need a real budget line for professional management, separate from venue, food and prizes.
Worth knowing before you submit: a fully-managed engagement sits above this range, so this is likely not a fit for 2027. You are welcome to apply anyway. If self-serve is the better move right now, you can list your sporting event and add promotion here: list your event.

Then we will be in touch.
