About the Course

Pueblo Country Club's championship golf course first opened for play in the early 1900s and was later redesigned by golf architect Henry B. Hughes. A traditional, par-70 layout built on gently rolling terrain, it plays to roughly 6,500 yards with tree-lined fairways and greens protected by well-placed bunkers. As a private club, play is reserved for members and their guests. A Course With History

Few clubs in Colorado can match Pueblo Country Club's pedigree. The first round of golf was played here on June 1, 1903, and the club was formally incorporated as a private, non-profit club in 1904, making it the second oldest country club in the state. The earliest members famously pitched in to clear the rugged ground of cactus and sagebrush to carve out the original course. More than a century later, that heritage still defines the place: a classic, "old timey" layout with fast, smooth greens, praised by Golf Digest's course-ranking panelists as walkable, scenic, and beautifully conditioned.
